This study analyzes how auction, seller, and product factors influence the price premium in an eBay used car auction market. In auctions with at least one bid, the reputation of the seller, title status, and the time the auction ended influenced the price premium on the highest bid. For auctions that resulted in a sale, cars with clear title and dealers were able to secure significantly greater price premiums, but seller reputation had no significant effect. Using a binary logit model, cars had a greater probability of selling if the seller had a better reputation. The quality of the presentation and number of pictures did not enhance the price premium in any of the models. <p align="center"> </p><p align="center">MySpira is the world first augmented reality (AR) asthma inhaler training app; it enables children to learn asthma keywords, types of inhalers, the preparation of the inhaler and spacer, asthma triggers, and develop skills on how to use an asthma inhaler effectively. All of these are compiled into an enjoyable 20-minute experience, introducing likable characters and tactile interactions, which incentivise the child to progress all the way through the learning experience. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of the MySpira application to traditional educational material (e.g. leaflets and videos) to improve asthma treatment compliance, technique and user engagement amongst 110 schoolchildren, aged 6 to 13. The findings indicate that MySpira surpasses the traditional educational materials, specifically in terms of enjoyment rating, the use of different inhalers’ techniques, particularly in the younger group (aged 6-9 years). Therefore, MySpira may enhance the level of available asthma care in an attempt to resolve one of the major problems facing asthma suffers and their carers, notably effective use of asthma inhalers.</p>
One feature of current school reform efforts has been the formation of partnerships between schools and universities in the form of Professional Development Schools (PDS). In this article we describe a Professional Development School project at two schools in New York City that has resulted from collaborative efforts of staff members of Community School District #3, the United Federation of Teachers, and Teachers College, Columbia University. A major problem confronting teachers in urban schools is a pervasive sense of isolation. To combat this problem, a cooperative teaching approach was adopted as a focus of this PDS project. An outgrowth of this approach has been the joint preparation of special and regular education students enrolled in preservice programs.
