Abstrak: Bahasa Indonesia biasa digunakan dalam bahasa sehari -hari akan tetapi penggunaan bahasa Indonesia sekarang ini telah pudar bagi kalangan remaja. Mereka lebih banyak menggunakan kosa kata serapan dari bahasa asing terutama bahasa Inggris. Mereka beranggapan bahasa yang mereka gunakan untuk pergaulan. Penggunaan bahasa yang tidak sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa Indonesia membuat remaja tersebut lebih kreatif akan tetapi merusak bahasa Indonesia. Tulisan ini membahas pengertian bahasa gaul, ciri -ciri bahasa gaul, faktor pendukung digunakannya bahasa gaul dan sebagainya. Kata kunci: bahasa Indonesia, remaja, bahasa gaulAbstract: Indonesian is commonly used in everyday language but the current use of Indonesian language has faded among teenagers. They mostly use absorbing vocabulary from foreign languages especially English. They consider the language they use for intercourse. The use of language that is not in accordance with the rules of Indonesian language makes teenagers more creative but damaging Indonesian language. This paper discusses the meaning of slang language, cirri -cirri slang language, supporting factors used slang language and so forth.
Proses pembelajaran tidak akan pernah terlepas dari penerapan sebuah strategi. Setiap strategi pembelajaran memiliki tujuan serta satu ranah pembelajaran yang menonjol meskipun juga mengandung ranah pembelajaran lainnya. Permasalahan yang akan dijawab dalam kajian ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research), yang akan menjawab tentang , strategi dalam pengajaran bahasa. Kajian ini diambil dari naskah-naskah kepustakaan yang relevan dengan topik penelitian yaitu berkaitan dengan topik yang dibahas. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah data-data hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberpa macam strategi dan yang dapat diterapkan oleh seorang pendidik dalam pengajaran bahasa. Ada beberapa strategi yang dapat digunakan pendidik dalam proses pengajaran bahasa, yang meliputi; strategi mengulang, strategi elaborasi, strategi organisasi, startegi metakognitif, serta strategi Strategi metakognitif dan sosioafektif.
Translation skill is important for students of English Education Department as in the future they will need the skill to translate their own scientific papers for international publication. However, to master the skills of translating texts, students should have enough understanding on both the language and the culture of languages (source and target language). This research aims to 1) identify the difficulty faced by the students when translating texts, and 2) measure students’ ability in translating texts. The data were gained from the students’ translation products. The subjects were 30 students of English Education Department in the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The data collecting instrument was translation test where students translated English text into Indonesian. The findings indicate that students had difficulty in translating the English text into Indonesian especially in terms of accuracy and acceptability, but the students’ translations were better in terms of readability. The difficulties in translating the English text into Indonesian were due to students’ lack of understanding in applying the appropriate translation methods when translating the text. Moreover, the students also lack of ability in choosing the right words that will be the best equivalence in the target language. The findings also show that students had sufficient ability in translating text from English to Indonesian.
This study aims to examine efforts to improve student learning outcomes through demonstration methods in mathematics subjects with building materials in the form of blocks and cubes for fourth grade students of MIN Medan Tembung. This type of research uses classroom action research (CAR), with subjects covering 37 fourth grade students at MIN Medan Tembung. The results of this study conclude that the application of the demonstration method can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at MIN Tembung in mathematics lessons on building materials (cubes and blocks). This is evidenced by the results of the student's pre-test which was originally low, namely 38.64 (none even completed according to the Minimum Completeness Criteria/KKM). The results of the final test in the first cycle that did not use the demonstration method (still conventional method) showed an increase, where 7 students had achieved the KKM score (18.9%) while the other 30 students had not reached the KKM (81.1%). Furthermore, the results of the final test in the second cycle that had used the demonstration method showed a significant increase, where there were 32 students (86.48%) who met the KKM and 5 students (13.52%) who had not reached the KKM.
<p><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menulis sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Kontekstual, 2) Untuk mengetahui proses penggunaan model pembelajaran Kontekstual, 3) Untuk mengetahui respon siswa dalam menulis laporan pengamatan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Kontekstual di kelas V SDN 106806 Cinta Rakyat, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang menggunakan tahapan berupa siklus, yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5B SDN 106806 Cinta Rakyat di semester II sebanyak 30 orang siswa, yang terdiri dari 16 siswa perempuan dan 14 siswa laki-laki. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan pada kelas V SDN 106806 Cinta Rakyat, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis laporan pengamatan telah mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar klasikal dengan jumlah nilai persentasi dari 30% - 90%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis laporan pengamatan.<strong></strong></p><p class="Default"> </p><p><strong>Kata Kunci:</strong><strong> </strong><em>Model Pembelajaran </em><em>Kontekstual, Bahasa Indonesia, Kemampuan Menulis Siswa</em></p>
