BACKGROUND: The condition of solid waste in Medan City is very worrying. 37.3% of waste in Indonesia comes from household activities. The residents of Medan city produce 5,616 m3/day or 2,000 tons/day of waste, the increasing of waste reaches 2%-4% annually and was not transferred to landfill. This condition created problems for the environment both in terms of esthetics, as well as public health problems. The government has issued regulations to limit household waste and reduce and recycle household waste. Community participation is very much needed in the waste problem. AIM: The research aim was to analyze reduced activity across the generations. METHODS: This research was an descriptive survey and used cross-sectional design to measure reuse actions. The data were collected from three generations X, Y, and Z, it was 600 respondents as sample. This study was located in Medan City with 15 sub-districts. The techniques of data collection were using cluster sampling. The techniques of data collection was using cluster sampling. The questiontionare used in this study consist of waste management knowledge and reduce action questions. The type of data is numeric and data analyzed by ANOVA test. RESULTS: The study shown characteristics of the sample by sex; 30.5% male, 69.5% female. The level of education in this study was 18.2% primary education, 71.5% secondary education, and 10.3% higher education. Meanwhile the characteristics by age was 26.8% Gen X, 32.4% Gen Y and 40.8% Gen Z. Amount 42.8% of the sample had taken the reduced action. Generation Z has the most dominant percentage (41%), followed by Generation Y (32.3%) and Generation X (26.8%). The result of analyze reduce action in across generations using ANOVA Test shown p = 0.001. CONCLUSIONS: The reduced action was dominated by Generation Z (42.8%). The most frequent reduce action was the used of towels and old bed linen which are cut into small pieces to be used as rags and the lest was preferred to buy second-hand clothes instead of buying new clothes. There were differences in reduced actions between generations. Each generation is expected to have awareness and cooperation in reducing actions, especially Generation Z, which is an agent of change in reducing the volume of waste. The understanding of each generation toward waste management needs to be improved through health promotion.

Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan studi dokumen dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Bertujuan merancang sistem penilaian kinerja berbasis kompetensi perawat gawat darurat di RSU Herna Medan. 8 orang partisipan terpilih untuk mengikuti FGD tanggal 11 Mei 2015. Analisis isi digunakan untuk data dokumen dan analisis tematik untuk data FGD. Hasil analisa data dokumen, tidak tercantum tujuan penilaian kinerja, penilaian kinerja disusun berdasarkan Task-focused Performance Dimension, cara penilaian dan hasilnya tidak diberitahukan pada perawat yang dinilai. Hasil analisa data FGD, kompetensi perawat gawat darurat di RSU Herna Medan adalah dampak dan pengaruh, mengembangkan orang lain, empati, percaya diri, pengendalian diri, komitmen terhadap organisasi, keahlian teknikal, berorientasi kepada pelanggan, kerja sama kelompok, berfikir analitis, berfikir konseptual, inisiatif, fleksibilitas, kemampuan mengarahkan perintah dan semangat untuk berprestasi. Disarankan pihak manajemen agar menggunakan lembar penilaian kinerja yang telah disusun minimal satu kali dalam 6 bulan. Kata Kunci: Penilaian Kinerja, Kompetensi, Perawat Gawat Darurat Abstract Some General Hospitals (RSU) in Medan that does not meet the standards of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) IGD, one of them is Herna Medan. Therefore, the performance assessment system needs for emergency nurses were compiled based on competence to increase a good performance. Documents and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) used for this qualitative descriptive study. This study aims to design a emergency nurse competency-based performance appraisal system at Herna Medan. 8 participants were selected to join the FGD on 11 May 2015. Content analysis is used for document data and thematic analysis of the data FGD. Results of the data analysis of the document, not listed purposes of performance assessment, performance assessment is based Task-Focused Performance Dimension, assessment and the results are not notified to the nurse who assessed. Data analysis FGD, nurse competence emergency in Herna Medan is the impact and influence, developing others, empathy, confidence, self-control, commitment to the organization, technical expertise, customer-oriented, teamwork, analytical think, conceptual think, initiative, flexibility, the ability to direct the command and passion for achievement. We suggest management use performance assessment sheets that have been prepared at least once in 6 months.

This community service aims to provide Partners with skills improvement assistance through using training (online tutorials via video) in order to improve family nutritional status and family income, as well as improve the quality of environmental health. The method of processing the cassava peel is done by collecting the cassava peel, cleaning it, then boiling it using a technique of reducing cyanide levels and drying it in the sun. The next stage is mashed into flour then mixed with vegetable protein sources and processed into a snack with a variety of flavors and shapes. The activity in this dedication is by presenting tutorials to business groups by presenting a youtube link on how to make multipurpose flour from cassava peels. This activity provides knowledge and skills improvement for partners in processing cassava peels to partners (through providing video tutorials on how to process cassava peels into multipurpose flour) was prepared by the mentor. Abstract-In 2015 Social Security Agency Employment (BPJS)reported that in the first semester reached 50.089 cases of occupational accidents. The work accident can be avoided by knowing and recognizing the potential hazard and risk of work environment the act of controlling can be implemented. The purpose of this research is to identify the hazard and risk of work assessment on street sweeper in Medan City. This qualitative study is snowball sampling with observation and direct interview with 20 informants and then the data is presented with narrative text. This study finds that there are some risks from 3 routinework stages (sweeping, lifting, and garbage collecting), that is 10 potential hazard sources; 4 physical hazards, 1 chemical hazard, 1 biological hazards, 2 physiological hazards and 2 safety hazards and for the risk assessment, it is identified 6 activities categorized as low category (60%), 2 activities categorized as moderate (20%), 1 category categorized as high activity (10%) and 1 activity categorized as extreme category (10%). While from 3non routine-work stages (employees of grass cutter, puddle sweeper, and dust removal) there are 3 sources of hazard and risk assessment with low category.It can be concluded that the hazard source with low risk (low) in the sense of risk is acceptable, so that we do not need any handle / control, while the potential source of hazard categorized as Moderate, High and Extreme need more control. Dinas kebersihan as the leading sector of the street sweeper in Medan is being expected to make and socialize SOP of work so that they can work well for K3 efforts.
