<p><em><strong>Abstract.</strong></em><em> The </em><em>aim</em><em> of this </em><em>experiment</em><em> </em><em>is</em><em> </em><em>optimiz</em><em>ing</em><em> the preparation of hand body lotion </em><em>from </em><em>tea leaf extract. Some compositions were chosen which were previously oriented to get good preparation consistency. The method used by mixing part A which consists of cetil alcohol, lanolin, stearic acid heated to 70</em><em><sup>0</sup></em><em>c, and part B consists of glycerol, triethanolamine, paraben</em><em> metal</em><em> and aquadest which </em><em>were</em><em> also heated at the same temperature</em><em>, then </em><em>stirred until homogeneous and tea leaf extract </em><em>was</em><em> added. </em><em>Then,</em><em> the hand body lotion produced w</em><em>as</em><em> tested. The test results of hand</em><em> </em><em>body lotion showed a stable preparation from testing for 3 weeks with a semi-solid form, </em><em>green</em><em> colo</em><em>u</em><em>r, </em><em>aroma of </em><em>tea, and homogenity, pH of preparation 7, dispersion test</em><em> :</em><em> </em><em>2.8 x3.1 cm2 - 7x8 cm2, adhesion test </em><em>: </em><em>0.73 seconds - 02.3 seconds. </em><em>The result of i</em><em>rritation test </em><em>showed</em><em> </em><em>that the hand body lotion is </em><em>safe or non-irritating in 10 respondents.</em><em> The</em><em> </em><em>c</em><em>onclusion </em><em>of this experiment is t</em><em>he hand body lotion produced is safe according to the requirements.</em></p><em><strong>Keywords:</strong></em><em> Hand</em><em> </em><em>body lotion, green tea leaf extract, maceration, skin.</em>
Mouthwash adalah sediaan cair dengan viskositas yang tidak terlalu kental dan tidak terlalu cair, dengan rasa yang enak. Daun kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri penyebab bau mulut, karena mengandung metabolit sekunder seperti flavonoid, eugenol, tritepernoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan memformulasikan ekstrak etanol daun kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) ke dalam bentuk sediaan mouthwash. Ekstrak daun kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) dengan konsentrasi 1%, 2% dan 3% diformulasikan menjadi bentuk mouthwash. Evaluasi yang dilakukan meliputi organoleptis, pH viskositas dan freeze-thaw cyling test. Hasil pengamatan organoleptis tidakmenunjukkan perubahan warna, bau, rasa maupun pemisahan pada mouthwash. Rentang nilai pH adalah 6-7. Hasil pengamatan viskositas menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan viskositas pada setiap pengukuran, namun masih mendekati nilai viskositas air. Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada pengujian freeze-thaw cycling test, hasil pengamatan organoleptis menunjukkan tidak ada perubahan warna, bau, rasa dan homogenitas pada mouthwash, nilai pH dan nilai viskositas tidak menunjukkan adanya perubahan. Ekstrak daun kemangi dapat diformulasi ke dalam sediaan mouthwash dan memenuhi persyaratan fisik meliputi pengamatan organoleptis, pengujian pH, viskositas serta Freeze-Thaw Cycling Test.Keywords: Daun kemangi, mouthwash, evaluasi fisik

Food safety issues in Indonesia are still a common concern. Lack of knowledge causes the number of food safety cases is increasing, such as snack poisoning and diarrhea. This community service was carried out to form the PKK Food Safety Cadre in Kalimojosari Village which is expected to provide information and education to local residents regarding food safety. The implementation method applied was communication, information, and education counseling through the lecture method. The result of this community service activity is an increase in knowledge about food safety issues by 6.08%.
Ganyong contains high starch (carbohydrates) which can be used as a binder in tablet formulations. Chewable tablets are intended for people who have difficulty swallowing medicine. One of the chewable tablet preparations is an antacid preparation. Moringa leaves contain substances that are useful as gastroprotection, anti-ulcer, and antioxidants. This study aims to evaluate the use of canna starch as a binder in the chewable ethanol extract of Moringa leaves using wet granulation method. Evaluation on tablets was carried out on Physical Appearance Test, Organoleptic, Size and Weight Uniformity, Hardness, Brittleness, and Taste Response. The data analysis was done qualitatively by referring to the literature book on Solid Preparation Technology Pharmacy Teaching Materials. The three formulas met the requirements in the granule and tablet evaluation test. Close to perfect results are found in formula III with 10% starch content. Evaluation of granules includes 0.00% moisture content test, compressibility test 7.89%, angle of repose test 32.21º, flow rate test 4.59 seconds. The evaluation of the tablets included a physical appearance test with no damage, an organoleptic test with a slightly sweet bitter taste, a size uniformity test with a diameter of 12.00 mm and a tablet thickness of 4.69 mm, a weight uniformity test with an average of 507.9 mg, Hardness test 5.16 kg, Fragility test 0.36%, Disintegration Time test 4 minutes 30 seconds, Preference test with a slightly sweet bitter taste.Keywords : Ganyong, Binder, Chewable Tablet, Moringa, Wet Granulation. AbstrakGanyong mengandung pati (karbohidrat) tinggi yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pengikat pada formulasi tablet. Tablet kunyah ditujukan untuk orang-orang yang memiliki kesulitan dalam menelan obat. Salah satu sediaan tablet kunyah adalah sediaan antasida. Daun Kelor mengandung zat yang bermanfaat sebagai gastroproteksi, antiulkus, dan antioksidan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan pati ganyong sebagai bahan pengikat pada tablet kunyah ekstrak etanol daun kelor dengan metode granulasi basah. Evaluasi pada tablet yang dilakukan terhadap Uji Penampilan Fisik, Organoleptis, Keseragaman Ukuran dan Bobot, Kekerasan, Kerapuhan, serta Uji Kesukaan. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan mengacu pada literatur buku Bahan Ajar Farmasi Teknologi Sediaan Solid. Ketiga formula memenuhi syarat dalam uji evaluasi granul dan tablet. Hasil yang mendekati sempurna terdapat pada formula III dengan kadar amilum 10%. Evaluasi granul meliputi uji kadar air 0,00%, uji kompresibilitas 7,89%, uji sudut diam 32,21º, uji laju alir 4,59 detik. Evaluasi tablet yang meliputi uji Penampilan fisik tidak ada kerusakan, uji Organoleptis dengan rasa pahit agak manis, uji Keseragaman ukuran dengan diameter 12,00 mm tebal tablet 4,69 mm, uji Keseragaman bobot dengan rata-ratanya 507,9 mg, uji Kekerasan 5,16 kg, uji Kerapuhan 0,36%, uji Waktu Hancur 4 menit 30 detik, uji Kesukaan dengan rasa pahit agak manis.
