Kegiatan pengabdian ini difokuskan kepada sosialisasi pengolahan sampah rumah tangga dan pelatihan pembuatan kerajinan tangan dari koran bekas. Untuk mencapai tujuan digunakan metode community based participatory action dengan tahapan kegiatan terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Ada 21 peserta ibu-ibu PKK dan remaja putri desa petir, kecamatan petir, kabupaen serang. Persentase pemahaman peserta rata-rata 80% pada kegiatan community based participatory action tentang sosialisasi pengolahan sampah rumah tangga dan pelatihan pembuatak kerajinan tangan dari koran bekas, jadi. Rata-rata pemahaman tersebut memberikan respon yang baik, oleh karena itu kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menyadarkan masyarakat desa petir untuk dapat bijaksana mengolah sampah dan dapat membuat kerajinan tangan dari sampah yang masih bisa dipakai dan di daur ulang yang dapat bernilai ekonomis.
Scientific skill is a special skill helping students to develop their knowledge. Indirectly, well-developed scientific skill will lead them to actively get involved. This special skill needs to be developed through cognitive skill. One of the developed cognitive skills is justification skill. Such skill is developed through experiential learning. This research involves 26 students in one of Junior High Schools in Serang. This research focuses on topics about line, angle, triangle, and rectangle. This research is quasi experimental research with One Group Pretest Posttest Design using Purposive Sampling technique. The result of analysis shows that students' mathematical conjecturing skill of Junior High School gives positive contribution through experiential learning.Abstrak: Ilmiah keterampilan adalah keterampilan khusus yang membantu siswa untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan mereka. Tidak langsung, keterampilan ilmiah yang berkembang dengan baik akan memimpin mereka untuk secara aktif terlibat. Keterampilan khusus ini perlu dikembangkan melalui keterampilan kognitif. Salah satu keterampilan kognitif yang dikembangkan adalah pembenaran keterampilan. Keterampilan tersebut dikembangkan melalui pengalaman belajar. Penelitian ini melibatkan 26 siswa di salah satu dari SMP di Serang. Penelitian ini berfokus pada topik tentang garis, sudut, segitiga dan persegi panjang. Penelitian ini adalah kuasi penelitian eksperimental dengan satu kelompok Pretest Posttest desain menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan conjecturing matematika siswa SMP memberikan kontribusi positif melalui pengalaman belajar.
Education is an attempt to shape the quality of a nation. One important thing that supports the progress of the quality of education is how much interest in reading. Efforts to increase reading interest were carried out by the government assisted with the community, one of which was the literacy movement This service activity aims to empower mathematics education students at Serang Raya (Unsera) in the literacy movement to increase reading interest in school-age children. The implementation method is in the form of training, mentoring and discussion. The literacy movement activities in the form of collecting reading books will then make the reading garden in public places every Sunday in the cities of Serang, Cilegon, Pandeglang, and Rangkasbitung. The next activity is the literacy movement in several schools in the city of Serang. The results of the activity were good enthusiasm from the community towards the literacy movement with indicators of a large number of visitors to the reading park and the enthusiastic attitude of students in participating in literacy activities in partner schools.
This study described the stimulation structure of problem-solving skills obtained by students who were taught mathematics using functional skills mathematics approach. A descriptive exploratory qualitative approach was used to examine the students’ stimulation structure. Participants included three students from different level of mathematics ability in the second semester students of mathematics education program at Universitas Serang Raya. The data gained from the students’ problem-solving working collaborated with in-depth interviews focused on the students’ thinking refers to the functional skills mathematics completeness indicator. Exploration results showed the percentage of stimulation for each student of high, moderate and low mathematics ability are 81.8%, 54.5% and 36.7%. The relevance of the implementation of the functional skills mathematics approach was explained in more detail in the discussion. Fakta menunjukkan kesulitan dalam belajar geometri di universitas yaitu kesulitan menentukan fungsi Trigonometri untuk sudut negatif atau lebih besar dari 90 derajat, dan kesulitan menerjemahkan beberapa representasi fungsi Trigonometri. Masalah yang melibatkan kemampuan berpikir Trigonometri dapat diselesaikan dengan menampilkan perekayasaan informasi gambar, diagram atau animasi. Salah satu media dengan yang dapat menstimulasi berpikir Trigonometri adalah PhET Simulation. Media digital dapat menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik jika didukung lembar kerja untuk memandu proses pengikatan ilmu pengetahuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana proses perancangan worksheet yang mengintegrasikan pemanfaatan media interaktif Phet Simulation. Penelitian pengembangan dijadikan sebagai pendekatan penelitian yang meliputi tiga bagian yakni problem and design solution analysis, product specification and development, serta prototype evaluation and limited test. Pengujian validator ahli memiliki indikasi bahwa lembar kerja yang dikembangkan memenuhi standar pengujian ahli untuk digunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah Trigonometri. Pengujian terbatas pada subjek penelitian menunjukkan instrumen yang diuji memenuhi standar valid dan reliabel. The facts show that the difficulties in learning geometry at university was difficulty to determine Trigonometry functions for negative angles or greater than 90 degrees, and difficulty to translate some representations of Trigonometry functions. Problems involving Trigonometry thinking skills are most likely solved by presenting manipulated images, diagrams and animations. One media to stimulate Trigonometry thinking is PhET Simulation. Additionally, a digital media is believed to improve the performance if it is supported by worksheets to guide the knowledge construction process. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to investigate the designing process of integrating the use of interactive media Phet Simulation. Developmental research was used as the research approach encompassing three sections, namely problem and design solution analysis, product specification and development, and prototype evaluation and limited test. The expert validator tests indicated the worksheet developed met the requirement as a solution in solving Trigonometry problems. Limited test to the research subjects confirmed that the instruments were tested valid and reliable.
