remote monitoring of chronic diseases can improve health outcomes and potentially lower health care costs. The present work refers to the data transmittance and processing, as it is to be implemented in an eHealth monitoring system dedicated to pregnant women with chronically diseases. Alongside a software application and correspondent hardware, it provides an integrated solution of monitoring the evolution of the disease in order to optimize the treatment. The system is designed to be an efficient and safe instrument that transfers the data from different measurement devices towards the medical staff in order to keep update the patient's data and increase the efficiency of the disease management.
Industrial environment can be easy improved using audio message devices. These devices, programmed with different messages, can impress the human factor and can help the operators in areas where lamps cannot be installed or are not visible. These devices will be connected in cloud through IoT technology. The status of the devices is controlled from cloud or local using digital signals. The device contains a controller that includes IoT technology and Wi-Fi connection board to ensure connectivity with Internet. The messages are pre-recorded into message player. Player is connected with a local audio amplifier.
The paper presents a set of techniques using the music and rhythm to emphasize or speed up the general individual process of learning and using speech, providing spontaneity and confidence in vocal and verbal expression, improving vocal quality. The paper describes the materials/resources used, the way the activity is carried out, methods of monitoring and evaluation, benefits/advantages of the application of the intervention. The techniques presented target the listening and improving/educating the reaction to sound stimuli, the differentiation of sounds, according to duration, frequency, intensity, the differentiation of verbalized sounds in cases of anacusis, cophosis - profound hearing loss, deafness - over 90 dB, symmetrical, pre- and post-linguistic. The activities are described for participants between 6-14 years old, but the techniques presented are suitable, easily adapted, for any age older than 3 years.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
