Obesity is excess fat in the body, which clinically has a relationship with body mass index (BMI) which is thought to be a risk factor for several musculoskeletal disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The aim of this study is to determine obesity as a risk factor of RA. The study was conducted using a literature review method and the literature was taken from 1 database, Pubmed. The keywords used were Body Mass Index AND Obesity AND Rheumatoid Arthritis. The article search used the PICOS framework, and obtained 12 literatures. For the result, obesity as a significant risk factor for the development of RA. In Conclusion: In the study, it was found that obesity can be a risk of RA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui obesitas sebagai salah satu faktor risiko RA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review yang diambil dari 1 database, Pubmed. Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah Body Mass Index AND Obesity AND Rheumatoid Arthritis. Pencarian artikel digunakan PICOS framework dan didapatkan 12 literatur. Hasil yang didapatkan obesitas merupakan salah satu faktor risiko yang signifikan terjadinya perkembangan RA.
