In this study, which deals with migration from Koçhisar village (Bozova/Şanlıurfa) to abroad, a questionnaire has been applied and the characteristics of migration towards various countries have been revealed. For this purpose, the social and economic characteristics of immigrants, the characteristics of migration mobility and their situation in the destination country, as well as their relations with the village after migration were examined. In this context, the periods of immigration, the number of immigrants and their households, gender characteristics, age structures, marital status, education levels, destination countries and cities, travel purposes, type of going, job/profession/income status in the country of immigration, legal status, lenght of stay. and features of coming to the village have been determined. Accordingly, certain results have been reached regarding all the above mentioned properties. It has been reached that the phenomenon of immigration is new, migration has increased especially in the last decade, immigrants are mostly men, the education and income levels of immigrants are low, the mobility is mostly single youth, immigration has been through illegal methods and mostly has targeted to Germany. On the other hand, most of the immigrants stay in the refugee centers, some of them continue to have relations with the village and most of them come to the village in July every year and mostly stay between 1-1.5 months.
