5th/6th generation bio-sensing technology is an emerging field requiring connection with efficient nano-enabled sensing platforms optimized for point-of-care testing to investigate health management strategies. Recently, the integration and interfacing between quantum measurement, signalling, and optimized bio-actives has led to investigation of minute biological events with anomalous sensitivity. Such quantum biosensing is expected to provide the possibility to measure or record phenomena at those scales with pressure, temperature, and electromagnetic fields. Considering current scenarios, this perspective highlights state-of-the-art quantum sensing technology along with challenges and prospects.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
