This study aimed to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on the local wisdom of matter substances and their characteristics in order to improve the character of junior high school students. The development research design used was the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used in the study were validation sheets, observation sheets, response questionnaires, and self-assessment questionnaires about characters. The results of the study concluded that LKPD based on local wisdom was appropriate to be used in science learning, included in the practical category so as to make it easier for students to learn, and effectively develop students' character.
This study aims to develop and analyze the feasibility of collaboration skills based on the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) rubric in junior high school science learning which is feasible from the aspects of validity and practicality. The research method used is the method of research and development of the Borg and Gall model which is limited to only 7 stages. Data collection techniques and tools are adapted to the research stage. The results of the validation of the research content using the Lawshe formula obtained CVI (Content Validity Instrument) = 0.99. Practicality tests through a questionnaire response to educators in a limited manner obtained positive statements of 92.55% and widely obtained positive statements of 97.35%. The conclusion of this research is that collaborative skills rubric is feasible to be used to measure collaboration skills in science learning in junior high schools.
Learning chemistry in the chemistry education study program has not maximized the scaffolding provision yet, so students still have difficulty in mastering the precondition concept. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning using the 5E learning cycle model assisted by scaffolding on acid and base material as seen from an increase in students' understanding of concepts. This research is a quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 32 students who choose randomly from the chemical education study program class of 2019. The instrument used is an essay learning achievement test to measure students' understanding of acid and base concepts. The results showed that the n-gain value obtained is 0.31 or can be interpreted as an increase with moderate criteria. Therefore it can be concluded that the addition of scaffolding in the 5E learning cycle is effective to increase students' understanding on acid and base material.
The purpoise oif this research is toi describe the proicess oif develoiping chatboit teaching materials based oin artificial intelligence oin living things' respiratoiry system material, toi describe the quality oif artificial intelligence based chatboit teaching materials oin living things' respiratoiry system material, and toi describe students' respoinses toi chatboit based teaching materials. artificial intelligence oin the material oif the respiratoiry system oif living things. This research is research and develoipment (R&D) using the 4D develoipment moidel by Thiagarajan et al with its phases namely define, design, develoipment, and disseminate. The data were oibtained froim validating the eligibility questioinnaire foir teaching materials and student respoinse questioinnaires, validating chatboit teaching material proiducts, and student respoinses. The results shoiwed that the validatioin oif the instrument oibtained a CVI value oif 1 which placed it in the very feasible categoiry. Validatioin by material experts, soiftware experts, and linguists goit a CVI scoire oif 1 in the very high categoiry. As well as student respoinses 63.52% stroingly agree and 36.72% agree. Based oin the results oif the study it can be coincluded that chatboit teaching materials are valid and can be used by students
The aim of this study is to investigate the various categories of students' conceptions about heat and temperature, so that the misconceptions that students may have can be prevented and regenerated as early as possible. The subjects of this study were 203 8th grader students in one of the Junior High Schools in Mempawah District, West Kalimantan. Data was collected using a three-tier test developed by Kusumah (2013), questionnaire and interview. The data were analyzed and categorized based on their configuration of the answer, the reasons and confident rating index. Result showed that there are four main categories of students’ conceptions:understand the concepts;lack of knowledge; misconceptions; and error. In addition, students also still have 18 kinds of misconceptions about the heat and the temperature despite the material was studied in their 7th grade. Therefore the results of this study can be used as a basis for teachers so that learning process does not only focus on delivering material, but also improves students’ conceptions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
