Image quality plays an important role in various images processing. For ultrasonic echo image, image quality is evaluated by Standard Deviation and ultrasonographers in Tokai hospital. This paper is to find the image quality criterion using Standard Deviation. The image is separated in the block pixel such as 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128 and block pixel calculate Standard Deviation. The results show that the value is more than 6.92 the image can be used for diagnosis. The image quality criterion is suitable for abdomen part of ultrasonic echo image.
