The educational facilities and infrastructure in schools must meet with minimum standards in accordance with regulations from the government. The aims of this study is to determine the feasibility level of the existing facilities and infrastructure in the Computer Drawing Laboratory at the Modelling Design and Building Information Department of SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. The method that used in this study is quantitative research with observation and documentation methods. The research instrument that used in this study was a questionnaire sourced from PERMENDIKNAS Number 40 of 2008 and the Verification Instrument of BNSP Number 1023-P2-18/19 of 2011. The results of this study indicate that the achievement level of feasibility for all aspects of facilities and infrastructure assessed is 80% to 100% or all of them are in the "very feasible" category, with the lowest achievement value of feasibility is in the aspect of space area of the Computer Drawing Laboratory which is at 80%, aspects of room furniture of the Computer Drawing Laboratory get an achievement value of feasibility at 95%, and 3 other aspects consisting of educational media, equipment, and the quality of the main equipment of the Computer Drawing Laboratory get an achievement value of feasibility at 100%.
The mismatch between the skills offered by the vocational education institution and the needs of the industry leads to the high unemployment in Indonesian. It contradicts with the initial aim of the vocational education which is to decrease the number of the unemployment in Indonesia. One of the solutions to overcome the problem is by having partnership between vocational education institutions. Therefore, this paper aims to compare the model of partnership with industry in USA University and Indonesian universities. 20 respondents were involved in this study and thematic analysis was used to analyse the data. The results showed that main differences of the partnership model are: 1) in identifying the skill demands, USA universities focused on the feedback of the curriculum. While, the Indonesian universities analysed the skill of the graduates, 2) in supporting the development, Indonesian universities preferred a partner which could develop their infrastructure. While, the USA universities chose a partner which could build their capacity, 3) a company which could employ many workers in Indonesia. While, a company which could affect the image of the university is more preferable in USA.
Disruption to the learning process occurs during a pandemic. All educational arrangements are changing. Along with these changes, the independent learning curriculum is trying to be implemented. The purpose of this study was to analyze the state and availability of school infrastructure related to IT in Vocational High Schools in Central Java, to develop an assemble of information technology (A-IT) manual as an effort to optimize school infrastructure in online learning. Evaluating the assemble of information technology (A-IT) manual as an effort to optimize school infrastructure in online learning. This research is development research with a mixed-method approach, namely qualitative and quantitative. A qualitative approach is used. The subject of this research is the Principal of Vocational Schools in Central Java, while the object of this research is the optimization of information infrastructure in schools. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews with principals of SMK schools in Central Java. Qualitative data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data (data reduction), presenting data (data display), and drawing conclusions or verification (conclusions). The results showed that the condition and availability of IT infrastructure in Vocational High Schools in Central Java were quite good but still required the development of IT infrastructure in a better and more structured manner. Development of guidebooks the development of assembling of information technology (A-IT) manuals can be well structured through the results of FGDs with SMK principals so that the final model of the manual can be compiled and used as guidelines in the development of IT infrastructure in schools. The assembly of information technology (A-IT) manual is very useful in compiling and preparing school infrastructure properly and making it easier for schools to develop IT infrastructure so that learning becomes more optimal.
Semarang City Coastal Plain is an alluvial plain with groundwater conditions that have a salty, slightly brackish, or brackish taste, and some are fresh. The limited availability of fresh water on alluvial plains is caused by several factors, including the influence of seawater on coastal aquifers. There is connate water or water trapped in the clay layer will affect the quality of groundwater to be brackish or salty. Connate water is water trapped in the cavities of sedimentary rocks, since the deposition occurred. The process is caused by seawater entering the land, or seawater that is trapped during the sedimentation process. The results of the study using the hydro stratigraphic estimation method showed that there were several distributions of salt water that were trapped or trapped in the cavities of sedimentary rocks along the coastal plain of Semarang city. The trapped salt water can be predicted to be caused by the phenomenon of connate water. Based on map data, it is shown that the coastline of the city of Semarang around the 900s, is in the Simongan area with a line extending eastwards along the Brintik or Bergota mountain area. Geological and sedimentation factors cause changes in the coastline towards the north, and can result in salt water being confined or trapped in rock cavities.
One of the ubiquitous gadget used by most students are Androidbased smartphones. However, they are considered as hindrances to the learning process as they often disrupt students' attention. Therefore, this present study aims to develop Androidbased 3D Augmented reality mobile application. This application was used to show 3D dimensional model of buildings as learning media. It aided students to create exposition text. This study used mixed approach, case study and survey design, to describe the development of Androidbased 3D Augmented reality mobile application and provide descriptive statistics data on students' response to the application. The case study revealed that the English for Civil Engineering Class required instructional media to aid students in writing exposition text. The survey showed that the mobile application is categorized as effective and efficient in aiding students in writing exposition text.
