Membaca adalah kemampuan yang diperlukan untuk anak-anak sekolah dasar. Kegiatan membaca di sekolah dasar dibedakan menjadi dua kategori, yaitu membaca pendahuluan dan membaca lanjutan. Siswa diajarkan untuk menguasai dan mengenali huruf selama fase membaca awal. Tantangan membaca siswa harus segera dideteksi sehingga guru dapat memberikan solusi yang mengatasi masalah ini. Pentingnya menilai tantangan membaca adalah langkah pertama yang diambil oleh guru dalam menentukan berbagai masalah membaca yang dihadapi oleh siswa mereka. Bentuk penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metodologi studi kasus. Peneliti melakukan observasi terhadap siswa kelas satu di sekolah dasar dan melakukan wawancara dengan guru kelas satu di sekolah dasar. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa beberapa anak terus berjuang untuk mulai membaca. Sejumlah penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih ada masalah dengan membaca sejak awal, serta banyak kendala lain yang dihadapi oleh siswa. Dimulai dengan huruf-huruf yang sulit dibedakan, menjadi lebih sulit untuk menghubungkannya menjadi satu kata dan membentuk keseluruhan frasa.
Masalah literasi yang rendah di Indonesia telah menarik banyak perhatian peneliti Indonesia. Namun belum ada upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini dari akarnnya, yaitu anak usia dini. Guru dan orang tua pada jenjang ini selalu berharap anaknya dapat berkembang opitimal terutama dalam literasi sehingga mereka dapat sukses dalam belajar saat sekolah. Akan tetapi, belum ada media yang membuat usaha guru dan orang tua sejalan. Untuk itu penelitian ini berupaya menganalisis kebutuhan guru dan orang tua untuk kegiatan literasi anak di sekolah dan di rumah dalam bentuk media literasi berbasis digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan angket dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada 28 guru TK dan 15 orang tua murid. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru dan orang tua berharap bahwa media literasi tersebut dapat dimainkan lintas gender, berisi aktivitas bernyanyi, menggambar, bercerita, dan bermain. Dengan hasil ini, diharapkan ada media digital yang memuat aktivitas tersebut sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan literasi pada anak usia dini
Writing is an activity of expressing ideas or ideas through the painting of graphic symbols that are not only understood by the author but can also be understood by others as a form of indirect communication. A procedure text is a text that contains explanations or instructions about the steps or stages that are systematically arranged and must be taken to achieve the goal. The fact shows that students' writing skills are deficient, especially in learning to write procedure texts. Applying the incubation learning model is expected to improve the quality of learning to write complex procedure texts. The implementation of this research was carried out with two objectives. First, this study examines the significant difference in the ability to write procedural texts between students who received learning with the incubation learning model and those who received learning without the incubation learning model in class XI Mathematics and Natural Sciences 2 in a Senior High School in Lampung, Indonesia. Second, to test the effectiveness of the incubation learning model in learning to write procedural texts in class XI Mathematics and Natural Sciences 1 in a Senior High School in Lampung, Indonesia. This study used quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design without randomization (Randomized Pretest-Posttest control group design). The sampling technique used is a purposive technique based on special considerations. The assessment results will be used as analysis data according to descriptive statistical procedures using the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) computer program package for Windows Version 16. The results show that the incubation learning model effectively improves the ability to write procedural texts in class XI middle school students.
<p class="Abstract"><span lang="EN-GB">This research based on low of student’s listening skill in learning English at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Falaah Kopo. The learning process seems just apply teacher centered method. It makes students unmotivated in learning English especially in listening skill. Therefore, the researcher make serious efforts to use songs in teaching listening in order to make the learning process being fun and interesting. The aims in this research is to get the description of student’s learning outcome improvement in teaching listening using song as a media. The research used classroom action research with Elliot models by implementing three cycles and there are three actions in each cycles. The subject of this research were 3th grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Falaah Kopo consist of 17 male students and 17 female students. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is an improvement in the score average of the students. In the first cycle, student’s average is 60, and second cycle is 64, and in the third cycle is 75. Therefore the use of songs as a media could improve student’s learning outcomes and it can be a recommendations or suggestions for teachers to teach English or in other education research.</span></p>
