ForewordIn 2011, the Education and Student Activities Committee announced a student EMC hardware design competition [1]. The objective was to build a small PRBS (pseudo random binary sequence) generator circuit having minimal EMI with a given set of components without using shielding. The competition inspired student groups to systematically investigate the sources, the coupling paths and the antennas in a quali tative fashion for creating a minimal noise circuit with reasonable effort.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
