The purpose of this study is to analyze industrial injuries and assess the risk of injury to railway power supply workers based on mathematical statistics. It is shown that the level of injuries of this category of employees is at a significant level (the frequency coefficient of general injuries is higher by 2.6 times, and the frequency coefficient of fatal injuries is 5.7 times relative to the corresponding frequency coefficients in general for JSC “Russian Railways”). Based on the research results, the main causes of accidents with a fatal outcome were: poor organization and planning of work, violations of the technological process, violations in the use of personal protective equipment, lack of supervision on the part of the contractor, violation of work rules at the height, the extension of work place. The assessment of the risk of injury of contact network of electricians showed two possible types of accidents with them: electric shock and falling from a height. The probability of accidents is 0.031 and 0.051, respectively, with the number of injuries for each of the received scenarios on the five- year planning horizon being 7.85 and 12.75, respectively. The presented approach to assessing injury risks, supplemented by the method of expert assessments, will allow identifying and evaluating specific hazards at the workplace of linear level enterprises, respectively, to increase the effectiveness of developing of programs to improve working conditions and safety, and the effectiveness of implementing of tools for managing professional risks in order to reduce industrial injuries of employees of power supply divisions.
In the course of the research, the biological features of the accumulation of
microelements by the organs and tissues of the Persian sturgeon in comparison
with the Russian, as well as the regularities of the age accumulation of sturgeon
were revealed. Studies of the elemental composition of organs and tissues of the
Persian (Acipenser persicus, Borodin, 1897) and Russian (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii,
Brandt, 1833) sturgeon revealed a number of specific features associated with
different rates of metabolic processes in fish: the level of iron, copper, manganese,
zinc, and mercury in the Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) in almost all organs
and tissues, it was recorded higher than in the Russian, at the same time, the
content of cadmium and cobalt indicates its greater accumulation in the organs
and tissues of the Russian sturgeon (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii).
The environment of the Caspian Sea is considered internationally important because the Caspian Sea takes part in maintaining the global biodiversity. Monitoring the concentration of essential chemical elements in the organs and tissues of Caspian seal is an important task of protecting seal population, which makes the research topicality. Determining the metals was carried out by the method of atomic absorption spectroscopy using an MGA-915 MD atomic absorption spectrometer with electrothermal atomization.According to the research results, the chemical elements have been found unevenly distributed in the body of Caspian seal depending to the properties of metals and the functional characteristics of organs. Great concentrations of metals were recorded mainly in organs with active metabolic processes, and, on the other hand, in organs that actively participate in maintaining homeostasis, such as the liver, the kidneys, and the spleen.
Research objective was to identify the specific features of distribution of microelements (zink, manganese, lead, cadmium) in organs and tissues of black-backed shad Alosa kessleri kessleri (Grimm, 1887) and Dolginsky herring Alosa braschnikowii braschnikowii (Borodin, 1904) caught in the Caspian Sea. Accumulated in the tissues and organs of fish in concentrations exceeding the maximum permissible limits, heavy metals pose a danger to human health. Sampling was carried out by the standard techniques, definition of minerals was made by method of atomic and absorbing spectroscopy using an atomic and absorbing spectrometer with electrothermal atomization of MGA-915 MD. The analysis of the obtained data showed that distribution of minerals in the organs and tissues of the studied herring species had a similar pattern: the highest concentrations of minerals were registered in the gills and liver, the smallest - in muscle tissue. In comparison with black-backed shad the organs and tissues of Dolginsky herring had higher concentrations of chemical elements. Zinc has been found to accumulate mainly in the liver; manganese, lead and cadmium - in the gills. Accumulation of zinc, cadmium and lead in the studied bodies and tissues of fishes exceeded acceptable level.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
