Pembelajaran fisika merupakan pembelajaran mengenai gejala-gejala alam dan berusaha menemukan hubungan antara kenyataan di alam. Perlu adanya model dan metode yang dapat membantu menerangkan gejala alam tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran fisika. Salah satu model yang diharapkan cocok dengan karakteristik pembelajaran fisika yaitu model discovery learning berbasis edutainment. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan kelebihan dan kekurangan dari model discovery learning berbasis edutainment; dan (2) untuk mendeskripsikan penerapani model discovery learning berbasis edutainment dalam pembelajaran fisika. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dan kajian pustaka, data penelitian ini menggunakan jenis data sekunder, kemudian data yang diperoleh tersebut diolah dengan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Model discovery learning berbasis edutainment dapat menjadikan peserta didik aktif dalam kegiatan belajar dan menyenangkan. Namun, memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama dalam pembelajarannya dan kurang efektif digunakan dalam kelas besar; dan (2) Pada pembelajaran fisika, model discovery learning berbasis edutainment digunakan untuk memahami materi yang cukup sulit dengan cara yang menyenangkan.Physics learning is learning about natural phenomena and trying to find the relationship between reality in nature. It is necessary to have models and methods to explain these natural phenomena in the physics learning process. One model that is expected to match physics learning characteristics is the discovery learning model based on edutainment. This study aims: (1) To describe the advantages and disadvantages of the discovery learning model based on edutainment models; (2) To describe the application of the discovery learning model based on edutainment models in physics learning. The data collection method in this research is a literature study and literature review. This research data use secondary data, then the data obtained is processed by content analysis. The results showed that: (1) Discovery learning model based on edutainment could make students active in learning activities because it is fun; however, the learning process requires a long time and is less effective when used in a class with a large number of students; and (2) In physics learning, the discovery learning model based on edutainment is used to understand difficult material in a fun way.
Diagnostics in physics learning are carried out to find the level of students’ conceptual understanding to the learning objectives. This study aimed to describe the conception of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students in Special Region of Yogyakarta through diagnostic tests. Descriptive method was chosen to determine the level of students’ conceptual understanding on chapter temperature and heat. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling so that 365 students from class X Natural Sciences were positioned as samples. Test was chosen as data collecting technique using the developed Temperature and Heat Test Higher Order Thinking Skills (THT-HOTS) instrument. The results of the study were the level of conceptual understanding achievement of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta on chapter temperature and heat. The conceptual understanding of students was classified in the low category. It could be seen from the percentage of conceptual understanding achievement in four sub-chapter, namely: temperature and thermometer, heat and black principle, changes in the form of substances and expansion, which value were less than 20%.
<p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah model pembelajaran sains berbasis kontekstual untuk peserta didik difabel netra dalam setting sekolah inklusi. Model yang dikembangkan ini menjadi sangat penting untuk memfasilitasi kelamahan pembelajaran fisika selama ini untuk peserta didik difabel netra. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (<em>Research and Development</em>) yang mengacu pada langkah pengembangan dari Borg & Gall. Dari sepuluh langkah penelitian pengembangan Borg & Gall, pada penelitian ini dibatasi pada tahap validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa telah berhasil dikembangkan model pembelajaran sains kontekstual untuk peserta didik difabel netra dengan nama Model pembelajaran <em>Art of Contextual Learning for Disability</em> (A-CLeD). Model A-CLeD ini memiliki sintak yaitu; (1) Orientasi, (2) Korelasi, (3) Transformasi, (4) Mediasi dan (5) Refleksi. Hasil validasi isi (<em>content validity</em>) terhadap model ini menunjukkan kesimpulan bahwa model ini berkategori baik dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika untuk peserta didik difabel netra.</p>
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan respon peserta didik terhadap penerapan model discovery learning berbasis edutainment dalam pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan seluruh peserta didik kelas X IPA di MA Darul Ulum Palangka Raya sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling. Instrument pengumpulan data menggunakan angket respon peserta didik. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistic deskriptif. Penerapan model discovery learning berbasis edutainment dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model discovery learning berbasis edutainment mendapat respon yang baik dan positif dari setiap peserta didik. Proses pembelajaran terjadi komunikasi dua arah, dan peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam setiap langkah-langkah pembelajarannya. Model discovery learning berbasis edutainment mengkombinasi sintaks discovery dengan permainan/hiburan agar pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan.
One of the most frequently observed explanations in misconceptions is conceptual understanding. This research aimed to determine the senior high school students’ conceptual understanding of Newton’s laws in outer space. The researchers assumed that the research results would be rich in variation by elaborating the item questions based on the precise step of Digital Story Conceptual Change-Oriented as a learning medium. The researchers researched State Senior High School 5 Yogyakarta. The participants of this study consisted of 91 students. The applied instruments were fifteen two-tier multiple-choice items. The researchers also used a non-test instrument, namely an interview sheet. The researchers found related misconceptions in Newton’s law in outer space during the research. It was found that 30% of students experienced misconceptions. The results are important for the learning process that through identification, teachers could use strategy to explain the materials.
