Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan kepada guru-guru SMK Bidang Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi dan Properti (TKP) dalam mengembangkan media video pembelajaran berbasis flip learning yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran daring asinkronous. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan klasikan secara tatap muka dengan mempertimbangkan standar protokol kesehatan. Guru diberikan materi tentang cara pembuatan media video pembelajaran berbasis flip learning dengan menggunakan softwere adobe flash cs6. Kemudian diberikan pendampingan untuk melakukan percobaan pembuatan media pembelajaran. Manfaat yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah: (1) Bagi guru dapat mengembangkan bahan ajar atau media pembelajaran berbasis flip learning yang menarik, interaktif, efektif dan efisien untuk mendukung pembelajaran daring di Program Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi dan Properti di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK); (2) Bagi siswa SMK dapat memanfaatkan bahan ajar atau media pembelajaran berbasis flip learning yang dapat diakses darimana saja dan kapan saja sehingga memudahkan fleksibilitas belajar siswa di era pandemi; (3) Bagi SMK meningkatkan partisipasi dan prestasi belajar siswa di era merdeka belajar.
The aims of this study is to find out the praxis of project-based learning at PIKA Vocational Secondary School Semarang and to identify the advantages and the disadvantages. The design of this research is qualitative case study. The data collection techniques were in-depth interview, participant observation, and document analysis. The informants of this study were: principal, viceprincipal, teachers, employees, and students. The results of this study showed that: (1) there were two patterns of project-based learning at PIKA VSS Semarang. The first pattern was learning for internal internship program and the second was learning productive practice program. (2) The advantages of project-based learning were: (a) it trained the students’ sense of entrepreneurship; (b) it developed’ learning motivation; (c) it gave a complete, real and contextual learning experience; and (d) it developed the students’hardskills and softskills. The disadvantages of Project-based Learning were: (a) it required the acquisition competencies to perform project assignments; (b) it took times; (c) it required high operational costs; (d) it required adequate facilities.
Youth unemployment is one of the youth problems in Southeast Asia countries. Previous studies found that one of the problems is caused by the skills gap between TVET graduates and industry needs. Strengthening the partnership between TVET institutions and industry is one of the solutions to minimize the skills gap. Many TVET institutions have established partnerships with the industry. Therefore, the present study is aimed to review the partnerships with industry from the TVET institution perspectives. Respondents from different TVET institutions (N = 129) were surveyed to investigate their perceptions of the partnerships with the industry. Quantitatively, the instrument of the survey data is analysed by using SPSS software. Qualitatively, data from open-ended participants’ responses were analysed by qualitative content analysis to explore the findings from the survey. The result showed that the implementation of public-private partnerships has a good performance and improved the skilled workforce in terms of TVET institutions’ perspectives. Other hands, the present study also explored the partnership’s performance in the subjects of demand-oriented, meet the changing skills demand, allow the industry to participate in the development and management of TVET, supported by the regulatory with the systematic framework and go along with a strategic transition from a short-term to long term objective. The areas of partnerships with industry are discussed as well.
Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 2 Surakarta terletak di wilayah Kotamadya Surakarta, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. SMKN 2 Surakarta adalah sal salah satu lembaga pendidikan kejuruan yang memiliki peran dalam menghasilkan calon tenaga kerja terdidik dan terlatih dalam bidang keahlian teknik bangunan. Pengembangan skill siswa sebagai calon tenaga kerja membutuhkan interaksi dengan mesin-mesin perkakas dalam pelaksanaan praktik kerja di bengkel konstruksi kayu. Pengenalan keselamatan kerja dalam praktik kerja di bengkel penting untuk dilakukan kepada siswa agar dapat menghindari resiko terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Selama ini pengenalan keselamatan kerja masih dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan belum memberikan visualiasi yang nyata tentang penerapan keselamatan kerja di workshop. Sebaliknya, induksi keselamatan kerja membutuhkan peran media pembelajaran berbasis video yang dapat membantu siswa untuk memahami materi keselamatan kerja dengan ilustrasi yang nyata, mudah dipahami dan diulang kembali serta interaktif. Melalui media berbasis digital siswa dapat mempelajari penerapan keselamatan kerja secara mandiri, tidak terikat ruang dan waktu sebelum memulai pelaksanaan praktik. Oleh karena itu, tim PKM dari Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) bermaksud untuk melakukan diseminasi hasil penelitian pengembangan berupa media pembelajaran safety induction video untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran tentang keselamatan kerja di bengkel (workshop) bagi siswa SMK bidang keahlian teknik bangunan.
