This research explores the interrelationships between overtourism impacts, perceived man-made risk and revisit intention among tourists visiting Melaka UNESCO World Heritage Site (WHS). The aim of the study is to illustrate the overutilization of destination resources and subsequent human risk that shape tourist behavioural from the outlooks of sustainable and tourism impacts. Five hundred and ninety-three responses were quantitatively collected through an online data collection. Partial least square structural equation modelling (PLSSEM) is employed to investigate the research hypotheses. It can be reported overtourism impacts have positive and significant influence on the perceived man-made risks. However, this is not the case for the relationship between overtourism impacts on revisit intention, and the perceived man-made risk on the latter construct. This renders the potential mediation role of perceived man-made risk as insignificant. The findings heighten the unique dynamics of overtourism within developing WHS planning in shaping tourist revisit intention.
Rapid economic growth via industrialization has given not only a significant impact in terms of income distributions and quality of life, but it also resulted in increasing number of accidents at workplace. In reducing risk at the workplace, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is an important aspect. It is a standard which are set in legislation with the aim to eliminate and reduce hazards at workplace. Besides OSH, the term of 'safety culture' is also an important aspect in reducing risk and accident at workplace. This paper highlights the problems in the Malaysian manufacturing industries namely the high accident rate in manufacturing industries which may be due to lack of safety culture and non-compliance of the Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health Act's (OSHA's) requirements which may inadvertently led to lack of safety culture. The existence of these problems shows that workers' and employers' behaviour and compliance to OSHA will lead to positive safety culture which in turn will lead to reduction of accidents rate in the manufacturing industries in Malaysia.
In literature, an essential of entrepreneurial profile toward entrepreneurial personality become significant, particularly in developing the factor of need for achievement, locus of control, creativity, innovative and grab market opportunities. Therefore, this paper postulated that inculcation of entrepreneurial profile among creative entrepreneurs toward entrepreneurial personality. This survey study further identified eight items in entrepreneurial profile that relate to the identification of entrepreneurial personality, there are; gender, age, education, and field of study which are grouping under demographic profile; and, zones of operation, paid-capital, sales turnover, and paid-up capital are under business profile. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 309 creative entrepreneurs in five zones in Malaysia, there are; East-Coast Malaysia, West-Coast Malaysia, North Peninsular Malaysia, South Peninsular Malaysia, and East Malaysia. However, the data revealed that six out of eight items of entrepreneurial profile are not significant differences toward the entrepreneurial personality. There are only the items of zones of operations and numbers of employees are significantly differences toward the entrepreneurial personality. In general, the results indicated that most of items in entrepreneurial profile are not really important to consider as a factor in implementing the program that related to the development of entrepreneurial personality, especially in Malaysia creative industry.
