Indole derivatives R 0140Montmorillonite K10-Catalyzed Michael Addition of Indoles to Nitroolefins under Solvent-Free Conditions. -Without the catalyst no Michael adduct is formed even after prolonged reaction time. The catalyst can be recycled and reused with comparable activity.

A new catalyst is developed for the asymmetric Michael addition of cyclohexanone and acetone to nitroolefins giving the corresponding nitroolefins with high enantioselectivities.
