Koleksi tumbuhan paku yang ada di Kebun Raya Bali bersifat dinamis dan selalu mengalami perubahan, baik dalam hal jumlah, identitas maupun kondisinya sehingga koleksi tanaman harus selalu diperiksa secara rutin. Inventarisasi dan identifikasi ulang yang dilakukan pada koleksi tumbuhan paku dari Suku Pteridaceae ini bertujuan untuk mengecek kembali identitas tanaman koleksi, mengetahui jumlah terkini serta kondisinya. Hasil inventarisasi ulang menunjukkan masih terdapat spesimen yang belum teridentifikasi hingga jenis atau salah identifikasi, terdapat koleksi yang semua nomor spesimennya telah mati, tidak ditemukan atau ditemukan berada di blok suku lainnya. Sebagian tanaman koleksi juga diketahui tumbuh dengan baik dan menghasilkan rumpun, namun sebagian lainnya berada dalam kondisi kritis. Hal tersebut mengubah koleksi tanaman Suku Pteridaceae dari yang semula berjumlah 81 nomor, 10 marga, 37 jenis dan 179 spesimen menjadi 37 nomor, 5 marga, 15 jenis dan 79 spesimen.Kata kunci : Inventarisasi; identifikasi; Pteridaceae; Kebun Raya Bali.
Epiphytic ferns grow attached to the phorophyte tree or rocks. This study aims to determine the diversity, distribution of epiphytic ferns and its phorophyte trees in the forests of Bedugul, Bali. The method used in this study was purposive random sampling. The study recorded 24 species of epiphytic ferns in the forest of Bedugul Bali (16 species in Bukit Pengelengan, 12 species in Bukit Tapak and 12 species in Bukit Lesung). Epiphytic ferns found limited in one study area are Arthropteris palisotii, Goniophlebium subauriculatum, Loxogramme avenia, Oleandra pistillaris, Asplenium caudatum, Belvisia mucronata, Ctenopteris obliquata, Davallia pentaphylla, Davallia solida, Drynaria sp., Hymenophyllum sp., Monogramma trichoidea and Nephrolepis sp1. Epiphytic ferns found spread over in more than one study areas are Asplenium nidus, Belvisia spicata, Davallia denticulata, Goniophlebium percisifolium, Pyrrosia varia and Selliguea enervis. The highest-distributed species of epiphytic ferns are occupied by Belvisia spicata and Davallia denticulate. There are 33 species of phorophyte trees recorded (22 species in Bukit Pengelengan, 21 species in Bukit Tapak and 11 species in Bukit Lesung). The favorite phorophyte trees are Platea latifolia in Bukit Pangelangan, Syzygium zollingerianum. in Bukit Tapak and Engelhardia spicata in Bukit Lesung.

Jambi Province has an extraordinary treasure of Genetic Resources. This fact is supported by geographic conditions and supported by four national parks. Jambi Province has supported the use and protection of genetic resources, one of its efforts is to establish a Regional Commission on Genetic Resources. As a chief executive of the daily implementation of this commission, Research and Regional Development Board (Balitbangda) through its duty conducting study and research activities because if not managed well so the availability of genetic resources be threatened. This study aims to determine the role of Balitbangda of Jambi Province to preserve the genetic resources in Jambi Province. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. This research was carried out at Balitbangda Jambi as a chief executive of the daily implementation of The Regional Commission in Jambi Province. The sampling technique using purposive random sampling and types of data used are primary and secondary data collected by in-depth interviews and document searches. The results showed that the role of Balitbangda in Jambi Province in its efforts to preserve genetic resources were conducting research and development activities, active in the Regional Commission of Genetic Resources, cooperated with competent institutions, conducted seminars on the results of studies, socialized to teachers/education staff in the district/city about the genetic resources, and supported the acceleration of registration of geographical indications of Pineapple Tangkit Baru. The roles were still not optimal because there are still obstacles in the implementation.
