ABSTRAK The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of Internal Factors toward student interest in entrepreneurship on Economics and Business Faculty of Jambi University. Sampling techniques used on is Non-Probability Sampling with Convenience Sampling Method. The number of respondents is 100 consumers. Technique analysis for this research use descriptive analysis to describe the research variables and multiple regression analysis to find the effect between research variables using SPSS 20.0. This research revealed the significant effect of Internal Factors on Student Interest in entrepreneurship on Economics and business Faculty of Jambi University. <p><em>English class is one of main sources of students to learn English as a second language in Indonesia. There might be a problem in English language teaching. This study aims at solving the low achievement of students’ speaking ability in University of Potensi Utama through video making activity. It applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the research design. </em><em>The subject of this research was </em><em>SI (System Information)-B day class who was sitting in the first semester</em><em> which consisted of 24 students. The research was conducted in two cycles. The instrument for collecting the data were speaking test, observation sheet, and questionnaire sheet. Based on the analysis, students’ speaking achievement is improved in every test which are </em><em>pre-test (61.7), post-test in cycle I (68.80) and post-test in cycle II (80.1).</em><em> Based on the observation sheet and questionnaires, it was found that the teaching learning process ran well and the students were more active, motivated and enthusiastic. It was concluded that making video activity can improve the students’ speaking achievement.</em></p>
Comprehensive site-specific fertilization dose is an essential factor to increase crop production. Fertilizer dose application should be based on the nutrient content in soil and plant, type and quality of fertilizer, and the climate. This study was aimed to determine the effect of unbalanced compound fertilizer NPK 16-6-23 at various doses to rice crops growth and yield Inpari 30 in Bangkalan regency. This research was conducted from June to October 2016. The rice varieties were Inpari 30 planted with legowo 2: 1 row system. The study used 8 different treatments : (1) without fertilizer, (2) standard dose of 200 kg per ha Urea and 300 kg per ha NPK 15-15-15, (3) 200 kg per ha NPK 16-6-23, (4) 300 kg per ha NPK 16-6-23, (5) 400 kg per ha NPK 16-6-23, (6) 200 kg per ha Urea plus 200 kg per ha NPK 16-6-23, (7) 200 kg per ha Urea plus 300 kg/ha NPK 16-6-23, and (8) 100 kg per ha Urea plus 400 kg per ha NPK 16-6-23. The study used a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. The parameters were observed by plant height, number of productive tillers, panicle length, number of grain per panicle, number of filled and empty grain per panicle, percentage of filled grain, 1000 seed weight, and productivity. The results showed that 200 kg per ha Urea plus 300 kg per ha NPK 16-6-23 produced the highest plant growth on 50 DAP (77.83 cm), a low number of empty grain (11.84), a high percentage of filled grain (90.7 percent), and high production (7.29 t per ha). This treatment has agronomically higher effectiveness compared to standard doses with RAE value of 196.61 percent. This fertilizer dose is highly recommended for farmers to increase Inpari 30 rice crops in Bangkalan.
The objective of this study is to investigate whether the application of Two Stay - Two Stray strategy significantly improves the students’ achievement on reading comprehension exposition text. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of this research was the second grade of SMA Negeri 2 Binjai which consisted of 36 students. The research was conducted in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of three meetings and second cycle consisted of three meetings. The instrument for collecting the quanitative data was essay test for reading and the instruments for collecting the qualitative data were diary notes, observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, interview sheet and students’ activities record. Based on the analysis, students’ achievement is improved in every test. In test I, the mean score was 56.44. In test II in cycle I, the mean score was 69.89, and in the test III in cycle II, the mean score was 81.58. Based on the observation sheet, diary notes, and interview sheet, it was found that the teaching learning process ran well. the students were more active, enthusiastic in working in group . It was concluded that Two Stay-Two Stray Strategy can improve the students’ achievement in reading exposition text.
