This paper proposes an algorithm using vibration signals and texture analysis for mechanical fault diagnosis of an induction motor. We analyze characteristics of contrast and pattern of an image converted from vibration signal and extract three texture features using gray-level co-occurrence model(GLCM). Then, the extracted features are used as inputs of a multi-level support vector machine(MLSVM) which utilizes the radial basis function(RBF) kernel function to classify each fault type. In addition, we evaluate the classification performance with varying the •제1저자 : 장원철 •교신저자 : 김종면
This paper proposes a fault detection method utilizing converted images of acoustic emission signals and texture analysis for identifying bearing's multi-faults which frequently occur in an induction motor. The proposed method analyzes three texture features from the converted images of multi-faults: multi-faults image's entropy, homogeneity, and energy. These extracted features are then used as inputs of a fuzzy-ARTMAP to identify each multi-fault including outer-inner, inner-roller, and outer-roller. The experimental results using ten times trials indicate that the proposed method achieves 100% accuracy in the fault classification.▸Keywords : Multi-fault detection, induction motor, acoustic emission signals, gray-level co-occurrence matrix, texture analysis, fuzzy ARTMAP•제1저자 : 장원철•교신저자 : 김종면
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
