Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kepunahan permainan tradisional yang mulai tergantikan dengan adanya beragam permainan game di dalam gadget Khususnya di Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat khususnya orang tua untuk senantiasa melestarikan permainan tradisional sebagai warisan budaya sekaligus media bermain untuk perkembangan khususnya fisik motorik pada anak usia dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah peneliti ingin menumbuhkan dan melestarikan kembali permainan tradisional yang hampir/sudah punah dengan memperkenalkan pada anak usia dini sebagai generasi penerus bangsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan partisipan dari semua kalangan usia dari <20 tahun sampai usia >80 dan 2 orang dari unsur pemerintah yang menangani kebudayaan dan olahraga. Instrumen yang dipergunakan peneliti adalah dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini yaitu berupa data yang menyatakan bahwa ada 33 jenis permainan tradisional yang masih dimainkan di Kota Tasikmalaya. Dan ada beberapa rekomendasi permainan tradisional yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di PAUD yang dapat menstimulus perkembangan fisik motorik anak usia dini yaitu permainan pecle, lompat tinggi, sapintrong dan main bola. Fakta-fakta di lapangan mengenai hambatan dan tantangan selama proses pelestarian budaya lokal. Seni tradisi pencak silat merupakan pendekatan proses yang diduga dapat memberikan stimulasi positif terhadap aspek perkembangan budaya lokal di Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kontribusi seni tradisi pencak silat terhadap pengembangan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan survey design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi terstruktur, wawancara, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapatkan untuk paguron aliran seni tradisi pencak silat yaitu 40 paguron. Hambatannya adalah wawasan dan tingkat pengetahuan paguron serta SDM yang relatif terbatas pada adat kebiasaan yang diturunkan dari pendahulunya, sedangkan yang menjadi tantangan banyaknya jumlah paguron yang berbasis seni tradisi pencak silat, tetapi belum berkontribusi optimal dalam mengembangkan pelestarian budaya lokal serta prestasi pencak silat Tasikmalaya. PROCESS OF PRESERVING LOCAL CULTURE IN THE CONTEXT OF TRADITIONAL ART PENCAK SILAT IN TASIKMALAYA: BARRIERS AND CHALLENGES AbstractFacts on the ground regarding barriers and challenges during the process of preserving local culture. The traditional art of pencak silat is a process approach that is thought to provide positive stimulation to aspects of the development of local culture in Tasikmalaya. This research was conducted to determine the contribution of the traditional art of pencak silat to the development of local culture. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a survey design. Data collection techniques used structured observation, interviews, field notes and documentation. The results obtained for the paguron of the traditional art of pencak silat are 40 pagurons. The barriers is the insight and level of knowledge of the paguron as well as the relatively limited human resources on the customs handed down from its predecessors, while the challenge is the large number of pagurons based on the traditional art of pencak silat, but have not contributed optimally in developing the preservation of local culture and the achievements of Tasikmalaya pencak silat.
Traditional games in Indonesia are numerous and varied. Traditional games have many benefits. There have been many traditional games that are almost extinct and are no longer played by children nowadays. These types of games are Gobag and Baren. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Gobag and Baren games on motor skills and the accuracy of strategies when playing these games. The case study research method was used in this research. Sampling is done by taking samples aged> 40 years. This is done because the sample in question is a person who has played this game. The number of samples is 12 people. Data were collected by means of interviews. The results of this study are motor skills and the accuracy of strategies in performing Gobag and Baren games. This is indicated by the better coordination ability between the eyes and feet, as well as the eye and the brain. In addition, the ability to estimate the direction for running so that you don't get caught is more precise.
