This study examined whether children's media use reflect on their peer relationships during the transition to primary school.Participants include representative samples of 312 families with 4-6 years old children(312 children of both sexes)in China. The data were derived from interview and questionnaire.Qualitative analysis, correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis,AVONA and "T"test were adopted in this study. Results revealed a bidirectional relationship between media use and peer relationship. There are 3 main ways in which media are used as a part of daily life for young children:(1)Using media as a tool when together with peers.(2)Using media as a topic in play and talk;(3)Using media as means of self-development(social identity). Both gender and age in media use were analyzed and showed significant relations. The amount of time in children's media use has a significant impact on social understanding and social participation, and ultimately affects peer acceptance.
Early transition from preschool to primary school is an important predictor that gives a lot of insight into the later years of formal schooling. In this process,teacher-child relationship is a determining factor on social and academic success when children make an attempt to adjust to the school environment. The major purpose of the study was to examine the teacher-child relationship in children's media use with a focus on the teacher-child interaction, classroom adjustment and performance.Correlation and regression analyses were used to identify these variables.Participants were 250 children(N=250,121 girls,129 boys) across the first year of primary school. 250 families as well as the teachers of children were surveyed on the children's media use and teacher-child relationship.Correlation analyses indicated that the quality of teacher-child relationship was linked to children' media use.Key findings suggest that the longer the media is used by a child, the less likely he/she is to interact with the teacher. What's more, the more the teacher assigns assignments through the mobile phone or tablet, the less child admires the teacher, which as well could reduce the class satisfaction via teacher-child interaction in sequence.Additionally, this study also indicates that media assignments by teachers is a new risk factor of negative relationship via teacher-child interaction.
Abstract. With the fast development of the computer technology and social developing needs, the network has experienced quite a lot of changes and the usage of it has also entered into more areas. As one mature technical service which is widely accepted by the public, cyber video has the inevitability and feasibility to associate with cloud computing technology. This article analyzes the features of cloud cyber video platform and its technical needs. It proposes an infrastructure that explained how to use cloud computing technology to build a service platform which is flexible, reliable, energy conservation and security.
