Grip strength as a clinical parameter to assess a person's nutritional status. Body mass index is useful for describing body composition. Differences in Body Mass Index (BMI) values can affect motor performance, postural balance, hand grip muscle strength and quality, lifestyle, physical activity, age and gender. The type of research carried out in this research is observational research, namely by observing students of PSPD FK UNIPA. The observation method used in this study is a cross-sectional observation method. Data collection was carried out in June 2022 using the simple random sampling method. There were 107 samples, the results of which were analyzed by using the Chi-Square test. The results of this study showed that the average number of overweight students was 34 people with a percentage of 31%, normal students amounted to 51 people with a percentage of 47.7% while underweight was 22 people with a percentage of 20.6%. The average grip strength, the respondents with strong gripping strength were 39 people with a percentage of 36.44%, for normal there were 53 people with a percentage of 49.54% while the weak were 15 people with a percentage of 14.02%. The results of the Chi-Square test showed that the significant value of 2-tailed was 0.734 more than 0.05. There is no statistically significant relationship between body mass index and grip strength in PSPD FK UNIPA students.
ABSTRAK Latar belakang : Demam berdarah dengue (DBD) merupakan penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue melalui gigitan nyamuk betina Aedes aegypti. Demam berdarah dengue masih menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan yang cukup tinggi terutama di Indonesia dan dapat menyebabkan kejadian luar biasa. Pada tahun 2018, Dinas Kesehatan Papua Barat melaporkan bahwa demam berdarah dengue termasuk dalam 10 penyakit terbanyak di puskesmas maupun rumah sakit. Tujuan : mengetahui prevalensi demam berdarah dengue pada tahun 2019-2021 di Rumah Sakit Mutiara. Metode : jenis penelitian deskriptif pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien demam berdarah dengue yang dirawat inap di rumah sakit sejak tahun 2019-2021. Hasil : gambaran kejadian tertinggi pada tahun 2019 (48,0%), mayoritas usia ≤15 tahun (62,2%), jenis kelamin laki-laki (64,3%), belum sekolah (32,7%), pelajar (34,7%), Sorong Manoi (16,3%). Kesimpulan : prevalensi demam berdarah dengue pada tahun 2019-2021 mengalami penurunan. Kelompok usia yang paling banyak adalah pada usia 15 tahun, demam berdarah dengue sering menyerang pelajar karena aktivitasnya sama dengan siklus hidup nyamuk yang aktif dari pagi hingga siang hari. Sorong Manoi merupakan kecamatan dengan tingkat penularan demam berdarah dengue tertinggi karena kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi. Kesehatan merupakan hal prinsip dalam kehidupan individu. Salah satu gangguan kesehatan yang mendapat perhatian dunia yakni HIV/AIDS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna hidup pada penderita HIV/AIDS di Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni kualitatif dengan responden sebanyak tiga orang. Responden yang dipilih adalah ibu rumah tangga dengan status penderita HIV (positif). Pemilihan informan dilakukan dengan cara snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek belum memiliki konsep yang positif tentang makna hidup. Makna hidup yang rendah ini terlihat dari kemampuan penderita melakukan evaluasi terhadap domain kognitif yang secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap perilaku.
Anemia is a health problem that often occurs in young women. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between the level of knowledge, attitudes, behavior, and school support with anemia in female students. The study was conducted on students in 2 State Junior High Schools in Sorong Regency as many as 71 respondents of this type of research were observational with a cross-sectional approach. The instruments used are questionnaires and Hb examinations using the GCHb easy touch tool. The results of statistical tests were obtained there was a relationship between knowledge level and anemia (? = 0.000), there was a relationship between attitudes with anemia (? = 0.002), there was a relationship between behavior and anemia (? = 0.003), there was no relationship between school support and anemia (? = 0.565. Increasing knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors can be done by providing material in the form of knowledge that schools can use in collaboration with the Sorong Regency Health Office, as well as support from families and communities.
