Studying numbers conversion sometimes becomes quite difficult to be absorbed directly by students. It isn’t enough to rely only on reference books and lecturer’s explanation while learning in class. The use of this application is later expected to help the learning process in the conversion of numbers and colors material. Interest in learning and teaching will be more encouraged by the presence of learning aids. This multimedia learning to convert numbers and colors will be built on the Android platform. One of its flagship features is a quick count tool in the form of a number and color conversion calculator. Analysis of the development of this application uses the PIECES method (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Services). Modeling the application using the UML concept. The intended modeling focus on the design of actors as application users and also the concept of application navigation.
Learning activities do not always have to be done in the form of face-to-face lecture meetings. Learning can be done anywhere as long as it is supported by appropriate tools such as multimedia. The use of appropriate and interesting learning multimedia is felt necessary to increase student interest and learning achievement. Just like the material conversion of numbers and colors that have been considered as material that is quite difficult to be absorbed directly by students. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to design a media that can help lecturers convey material conversion of numbers and colors lighter and the material will be more easily understood by students. The multimedia interface design of learning numbers and color conversions is designed to be developed on the Android platform with a user centered design (UCD) approach. Interface testing is still carried out by researchers and only a few user samples. This is done in order to get feedback from a sample of users regarding the interface design that has been made so that it is right on target. There are several pages consisting of a splash page, a menu page, an introductory page, a study material page, a number calculator page, a color calculator page, a practice page, and a quiz page. Specifically for the quiz page, all quiz questions are planned to be timed. It aims to measure the success of absorption of numbers and color conversion material in the teaching and learning process carried out by students and lecturers. Keywords : android, multimedia, interface, calculatorABSTRAKKegiatan pembelajaran tidaklah harus selalu dilakukan dalam bentuk pertemuan kuliah langsung bertatap muka.
Chronum Calculator is an alternative learning aid developed to support learning about number conversion. Chronum Calculator is a multimedia learning application that can be used to calculate and describe how to calculate the conversion between types of numbers and the conversion of numbers into color display. In previous research, this application was developed on the Android platform and is planned to be used as a learning aid in computer network and computer organization courses. Therefore, reusability test of this application is needed. Testing and measuring the quality of application reusability is done using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The reusability testing questionnaire was given to 31 samples of lecturers and students. The measurement result shows the number 76.38 and is considered acceptable. Where this means that the Chronum Calculator can be well received by users and meets application reusability standards. The results of this research can be used as a basis for further research on the analysis of the effect of usability on user satisfaction chronum calculators in online lectures. Keywords : Android, SUS, Usability, Respondents, Measuring
The world of digital investment is currently growing rapidly and is starting to get a lot of attention from the people of Indonesia, even though it was down during the Covid-19 pandemic, the world of digital investment still has its own charm. The emergence of several digital investment application platforms such as Bibit is a solution to introduce the investment world to the general public that investing is easy and can be started with small capital. In line with the investment startup goal of Bibit.id, which has a target to invite the public to invest, a mobile-based Bibit application was launched with a simple user interface and easily understood by the general public. This study aims to analyze the usability of the Seedling application using the heuristic evaluation approach as a measuring tool for functionality with 10 (ten) test indicators from Nielsen and the system usability scale (SUS) approach method to test usability from the end user side. The test questionnaire was given to 30 users and 3 evaluators. From this study, the overall test results found no serious functionality problems in the seed application as evidenced by the average severity rating of 1.4 which was rounded on a scale of 1, namely cosmetics problem, which means that there is no need to fix problems in seed application. From testing using SUS based on end users, the results obtained from the interpretation of the SUS score of 83.75 with an application acceptance rate in the "Acceptable" category, which means that the seed application is acceptable. Keywords : User interface, usability, SUS, Heuristic Evaluation
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
