<p>Christian education aims to enable students to take part in serving God and others both now and forever. The barriers to learning mathematics make it difficult for students to achieve the goals of Christian education. In some cases, students are found to have barriers to learning mathematics. Based on this problem, the researchers wanted to know the types of barriers to learning mathematics, the causes, and the responses of teachers, schools, and students to these barriers. This study used the case study method of a qualitative approach and the subjects were grade 8 students. The data collection techniques used were interviews for mathematics teachers and principals as well as open-ended questionnaires for students. The results revealed that there were barriers to learning mathematics that can be categorized into internal and external factors including a lack of learning willingness on the part of the students, inappropriate views of mathematics, uncontrolled classroom conditions, and the contagion of the environment. The responses given by teachers, schools, and students about mathematics learning barriers include reviewing, giving additional lessons, and relearning either individually or through others. Suggestions for teachers and principals are to organize workshops related to mathematics learning barriers and improving teaching quality.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Pendidikan Kristen bertujuan membuat para siswa dapat mengambil bagian pelayanan kepada Tuhan dan sesama baik sekarang maupun selamanya. Dengan adanya hambatan belajar matematika menyebabkan siswa sulit mencapai tujuan dari pendidikan Kristen. Dalam beberapa kesempatan, sering ditemukan siswa yang memiliki hambatan belajar matematika. Untuk itu peneliti ingin mengetahui macam hambatan belajar matematika, penyebabnya, serta respon guru, sekolah dan siswa terkait dengan hambatan belajar matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan subjek siswa kelas VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara terhadap guru matematika dan kepala sekolah serta kuisioner terbuka bagi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hambatan belajar matematika yang dapat dikategorikan ke dalam faktor internal dan eksternal, diantaranya siswa malas belajar, pandangan yang kurang tepat terhadap pelajaran matematika, kondisi kelas yang tidak kondusif dan pengaruh yang buruk dari lingkungan sekitar. Respon yang diberikan guru, sekolah dan siswa terhadap hambatan belajar matematika diantaranya menjelaskan kembali materi, memberikan pelajaran tambahan dan belajar kembali secara individu maupun melalui orang lain. Saran bagi guru dan kepala sekolah adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan terkait dengan hambatan belajar matematika serta meningkatkan kualitas mengajar.</p>

The purposes of this research are to investigate the needs and expectations from primary teachers of having a digital student agenda and develop a suggested model to be used during home-based learning. Open-ended questionnaire was distributed to primary teachers in a private Christian school located in Tangerang and an interview was done with the head of academic coordinator as well as with the primary curriculum coordinator to collect data. At the same time, a digital student agenda model was constructed, considering its possibilities to cover affective and spiritual aspects that allow more holistic development in the primary students lives assisted by their parents. A research and development research method was used to produce a suggested model of a digital student agenda. The results show that both primary teachers and the academic coordinator agree to have a digital student agenda that promotes more communication between teachers and parents. It is recommended this preliminary research is followed by a micro and macro-scale testing to ensure its reliability and further expanded use.
<p>This article discusses the problem of students’ poor understanding of a Biblical Christian Worldview (BCW) as related to their learning mathematics. The problem was discovered through tests and observations that the researcher conducted in a class of grade 11 Science-2 students at a high school in Toraja. The pre-cycle result showed that 23 students had a poor BCW understanding of mathematics. To improve students’ BCW understanding of mathematics, the researcher implemented the Bryan Smith Stage 2 Biblical Integration Model. The instruments that were used were teacher-mentor and peer-teacher observation sheets, student questionnaires, and simple understanding tests. Results showed improvements on the indicator of Creation from 96,2% in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle, the indicator of Fall 100% in the first and the second cycles, and the indicator of Redemption from 88.8% in the first cycle to 92.5% in the second cycle. Over all, it could be concluded that the implementation of the Bryan Smith Stage 2 Biblical integration model could improve students’ BCW understanding in learning mathematics.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Artikel ini membahas permasalahan mengenai pemahaman Wawasan Kristen Alkitabiah (WAK) siswa yang rendah pada pembelajaran Matematika. Permasalahan tersebut ditemukan berdasarkan observasi dan tes yang dilakukan oleh peneliti di Kelas XI IPA-2 di suatu SMA di Toraja. Hasil prasiklus menunjukkan bahwa 23 siswa memiliki pemahaman BCW yang rendah pada pembelajaran Matematika. Untuk meningkatkan pemahaman BCW siswa pada pembelajaran Matematika, maka penelitian ini menerapkan integrasi Alkitab model Bryan Smith tahap 2. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi guru mentor dan teman sejawat, lembar angket siswa, serta lembar tes pemahaman sederhana. Dari hasil analisis dan pembahasan dapat dilihat peningkatkan pada indikator Creation dari 96,2 % di siklus I menjadi 100% di siklus II, indikator Fall 100% di siklus I dan siklus II, serta indikator Redemption dari 88,8% di siklus I menjadi 92,5% di siklus II. Secara keseluruhan penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model integrasi Bryan Smith tahap 2 dapat meningkatkan pemahaman BCW siswa pada pembelajaran Matematika.</p>
<p>Creativity is a very important aspect of learning, including learning mathematics, because creativity helps students in problem solving. This article is an associative quantitative correlational research to determine the relationship between creativity and cognitive learning outcomes of students in grade 10 (basic science track) at a high school in Tangerang. Data collection techniques were carried out by questionnaires and tests. The questionnaire obtained data on the students' creativity and the tests gathered data on the students' cognitive learning outcomes. The results of the study showed that the creativity of the students were categorized as (1) high (14.29%) , (2) quite high at 55.10%, (3) fair (26.53%) and (4) low (4.08 %). For the cognitive learning outcomes, students were categorized as (1) high (44.90%), (2) quite high (28.57%), (3) average (22.45%) and (4) low (4.08%). This study shows that there is a positive and significant association (r = 0.372, p = 0.004) between creativity and cognitive learning outcomes of these grade 10 students presented by the regression equation Y = 9.908 + 0.638 X.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Kreativitas merupakan salah satu aspek yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran, termasuk dalam pembelajaran matematika, karena kreativitas membantu siswa dalam pemecahan masalah. Artikel ini merupakan suatu penelitian kuantitatif asosiatif korelasional untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara kreativitas dengan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas X IPA Basic SMA ABC Tangerang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket dan tes. Angket digunakan untuk memperoleh data mengenai kreativitas siswa dan tes untuk memperoleh data mengenai hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kreatifitas siswa kelas X IPA Basic SMA ABC Tangerang dapat dikategorikan sebagai (1) tinggi (14,29%), (2) cukup tinggi (55,10%), (3) rata-rata (26,53%) dan (4) rendah (4,08%). Sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas X IPA Basic SMA ABC Tangerang dapat dikategorikan sebagai (1) tinggi (44,90%), cukup tinggi (28,57%), rata-rata (22,45%) (4) rendah (4,08%). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat asosiasi positif dan signifikan ( r = 0.372, p = 0.004) antara kreativitas dengan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas X IPA Basic SMA ABC, yang dinyatakan dengan persamaan regresi.</p>
