Tourism promotion is one of the effective efforts to promote city tourism. The success of promotion is influenced by many aspects, such as the ability of the communicator to set communication goals so that the message conveyed is attractive and effective. The purpose of this study was to know the practice of tourism promotion, the interpretation of Pagaralam City Government employees on tourism promotion activities and their roles, and the relationship between Pagaralam City Government employees and the public. Researchers used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological tradition. This study found that the chosen type of tourism promotion was publicity, print publication, electronic and internet media. Their interpretation of tourism promotion activities in Pagaralam is formulated into two categories, namely promotion of activities as promotional activities and substantial promotion as formal promotions. The relation between the public relations officer and the public is going well. AbstrakPromosi pariwisata merupakan salah satu upaya efektif untuk mempromosikan pariwisata kota. Keberhasilan promosi dipengaruhi oleh banyak aspek, seperti kemampuan komunikator dalam menetapkan tujuan komunikasi agar pesan yang disampaikan menarik dan efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui praktek promosi pariwisata, interpretasi pegawai Pemerintah Kota Pagaralam terhadap kegiatan promosi pariwisata dan peran mereka, dan hubungan antara pegawai Pemerintah Kota Pagaralam dan publik. Peneliti menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan tradisi fenomenologi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa jenis promosi pariwisata yang dipilih adalah publisitas, publikasi dengan percetakan, media elektrotik dan internet. Interpretasi mereka atas kegiatan promosi pariwisata di Pagaralam dirumuskan dalam dua kategori, yaitu promosi kegiatan sebagai kegiatan promosi dan promosi substansial sebagai promosi formal. Hubungan antara petugas humas dan publik berjalan baik.
Nowdays the hijrah culture is becoming a trend. Not a few Muslim women who emigrated by wearing the veil as a face covering, but then it became a challenge for them when they get discrimination, which is linked to terrorism. The phenomenon of veiled Muslim women in Indonesia continues to increase until it has become a trendy outfit as evidenced by the number of veiled Muslim women who are increasingly open on Instagram in expressing themselves. This study uses a constructivist paradigm with qualitative methods and a phenomenological approach. The subject of the study is five Muslimah Instagram users. This study found that there was expressive self-disclosure with enlarged open areas (open self) and Islamic self-disclosure with enlarged hidden self areas. There are functions of expression, self validation, social control and relationship development experienced by veiled Muslim women, and there is no function of self clarification. This study concluded that Muslims on Instagram can influence the community in removing the negative stigma of muslims and giving direction to other muslims to stay open and not shut away from society.
Inovasi teknologi dikhawatirkan menyebabkan pengangguran massal. Namun Inovasi teknologi juga dibutuhkan dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi. Tujuan makalah ini adalah memahami dan meramalkan dampak inovasi teknologi terhadap tenaga kerja di Indonesia dengan pendekatan model John Hick yang di estimasi menggunakan model Threshold Autoregressive (TAR). Penelitian ini berusaha mengkontruksi dan memetakan dampak inovasi teknologi pada ketenaga-kerjaan serta mencari solusi mengatasi dilema inovasi teknologi dan ketenaga kerjaan dan mengkombinasi dengan metode kuantitatif content analysis.Kami menemukan bahwa inovasi teknologi memiliki pengaruh terhadap ketenagakerjaan,potensi pembukaan peluang kerja baru sebagai dampak positif inovasi teknologi sebagai kompensasi penekanan kesempatan kerja akibat inovasi teknologi.Kata Kunci : Indonesia, Pengangguran, Inovasi, Teknologi.
Management of Impression is always done almost by everyone with a variety of reasons, when someone interact with others, in order to get a good impression, positive impressions, impressive impressions, and so forth. Usually, impression management is done to improve social status, in order to gain respect from others, to obtain a certain position, or for political needs and financial benefits. Impression management is not only done orally or writing, but also uses visual symbols (visible) such as action, appearance, or other objects. Impression management that someone does has certain purposes, to cover up events that can undermine his self-esteem. This can be done by autistic children family, to remain privileged in their environment, still regarded as an honorable family, and to remove the stigma from the environment. Impression management by the autism family is more about managing verbal impression, when telling the story of autistic children in their neighborhood to cover the stigma. The various feelings of shame, insecurity and want to cover them sometimes afflicted parents who have children with autism, because it is aware or not sometimes the behavior of "deviant" children with autism is not easily accepted by family and the environment. Families with normal children may allow their children to have conversation with their neighbors or peers without being accompanied or guarded. Families with autism children always try to display various tactics of impression management as far as they can afford, as they attempt to avoid or prevent the stigma inherent in people's judgment of their families as families with autistic children. Efforts to avoid stigma are generally not realized by families and communities. However, the existence of the stigma itself is clearly felt by the stigmatized person. Based on the results of the study, there are three categories of family impression management at home, i.e; informative impression, academic impression and the impression of "ignorant".
Having an autistic child is a challenge for some parents because an autistic child should be treated specifically, based on condition and ability. The autistic child needs more extra attention than a non-autistic child because the attention from family can accelerate the development and ability of an autistic child, but not all parents can do the treatment because of various reasons. This study aimed to reveal the family's treatment which had an autistic child, especially parent or autistic's sister and brother. The study was done by using qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The findings showed that there were three treatments of the family to treat an autistic child in daily life, they were extra attention, attention, and inattention. Extra attention was the informant included in the category who gave extra attention to a child. They were strongly caring about their child’s ability, food, and education. The attention category was an informant who did not fully give attention to their child, and not all time. The inattention category was an informant who rarely cares for their child, it related to the development of the child, education, and life.
