Masyarakat Jawa tidak lepas dengan budaya juga tradisi yang menjadi ciri khas daerahnya. Salah satunya tradisi sedekah bumi di Jawa menjadi manifestasi bentuk rasa syukur. Warga Plesungan masih menjaga tradisi ini meskipun mayoritas bukan petani dan tergolong masyarakat urban. Tujuan penelitian ini melihat sejarah tradisi sedekah bumi di era modern, makna yang terkandung pada tradisi sedekah bumi, proses tradisi dan dinamika untuk menyimpulkan eksistentesinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan fakta tentang tradisi sedekah bumi. Sumber data penelitian adalah informan dan fenomena tradisi sedekah bumi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi sedekah bumi telah dilaksanakan turun-temurun sejak nenek moyang, masyarakat melihat tradisi ini wajib dilaksanakan dan dilestarikan karena banyak menanamkan nilai-nilai luhur yang baik seperti gotong royong juga silaturahmi dengan adanya perubahan tersebut masyarakat Desa Plesungan mengambil sisi baik sebagai pengenalan tradisi sedekah bumi kepada generasi penerus agar tidak hilang ditelan zaman. Javanese society cannot be separated from the culture and traditions that characterize the region. One of them is the earth alms tradition in Java which is a manifestation of gratitude. The people of Plesungan still maintain this tradition even though the majority are not farmers and belong to the urban community. The purpose of this study is to look at the history of the earth alms tradition in the modern era, the meaning contained in the earth alms tradition, the traditional process and the dynamics to conclude its existence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative to describe facts about the earth alms tradition. Sources of research data are informants and the phenomenon of the earth alms tradition. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study concludes that the earth alms tradition has been carried out from generation to generation since the ancestors, the community sees this tradition as obligatory to be implemented and preserved because it instills many good noble values such as mutual cooperation and friendship. the tradition of giving the earth alms to the next generation so that it is not lost in time.
This paper aims to analyze how the traders association of Pasar Legis (IKKAPAGI) becoming social capital for traders into face development of modern markets in Banjarsari Subdistrict, Surakarta City. This study uses qualitative research methods with case study approaches. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and document collection. The data analysis was done in three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study show that social obligations and expectations, information flows, values, and norms are social capital used by traders to maintain the existence of traditional markets in the midst of many modern markets. IKKAPAGI is a mean for improving the quality of the Pasar Legi and ais s a source of social capital for traders, I t serves as a forum for organizing and accommodating the aspirations of traders, sharing information, and also acting as a facilitator in expanding the network of cooperation to maintain business in the midst of many modern markets.
This study aims to determine the role of Islamic, Christian (Protestant and Catholic) and Hindu religious leaders in maintaining inter-religious harmony in Banuroja Village, Randangan District, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the roles of religious leaders are different but the goal is the same, namely maintaining harmony between religious believers, the role of religious leaders is to teach people to help each other without discriminating, teach openness, teach three sacred actions (holy thought, utterance, and behavior), giving understanding in terms of maintaining communication between others, inviting the community to participate in community service, inviting other people to help when they are holding activities, and always warning the public not to be easily provoked by religious issues. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran dari tokoh agama Islam, Kristen (Protestan dan Katolik), dan Hindu dalam menjaga kerukunan antarumat beragama di Desa Banuroja, Kecamatan Randangan, Kabupaten Pohuwato, Provinsi Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa peran para tokoh agama berbeda-beda tetapi tujuannya sama yaitu menjaga kerukunan antarumat beragama, peran para tokoh agama yaitu mengajarkan masyarakat untuk saling tolong menolong tanpa membeda-bedakan,mengajarkan sikap keterbukaan, mengajarkan tiga perbuatan suci (berfikir suci, berkata suci, dan berperilaku suci), memberi pemahaman dalam hal menjaga komunikasi antar sesama, mengajak masyarakat untuk ikut kerja bakti, mengajak untuk ikut membantu umat lain jika sedang mengadakan kegiatan, dan selalu memperingatkan masyarakat untuk tidak mudah terpancing mengenai isu-isu yang berbau agama.
This study describes how the communication carried out by working parents and children in the family in the city of Surakarta. This study uses two kinds of data collection techniques, namely quantitative and qualitative. Qualitative data was obtained through an interview process while quantitative data was obtained through a survey of children from working families and parents who are workers. The results showed that most of the working parents were able to carry out their dual roles. Even though they don't have much time to see each other, working parents can still communicate with their children. The communication that exists between working parents and children is interpersonal communication that occurs directly and face to face. In addition, working parents and children use communication tools and social media to communicate when they cannot meet in person. Communication that exists between workers' parents and children can be verbal and nonverbal. With the busyness that parents have, they are still able to take the time to control and socialize their children. In other cases, there are parents who only focus on the purpose of meeting the needs of their children economically, thus ignoring the importance of intimate communication with children in the family. The better the communication parents provide, the better the impact on the child. Likewise, if communication is not going well in the family, it will have a bad impact on the child. Abstrak Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bagaimana keberjalanan komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh orang tua pekerja dan anak di dalam keluarga di Kota Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua macam teknik pengambilan data yaitu kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui proses wawancara sementara data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui survei terhadap anak yang berasal dari keluarga bekerja dan orang tua yang merupakan seorang pekerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar orang tua bekerja mampu menjalankan peran ganda yang dimilikinya. Meski tidak banyak waktu yang dimiliki untuk saling bertemu, orang tua pekerja tetap dapat mampu menjalin komunikasi dengan anak. komunikasi yang terjalin di antara orang tua pekerja dan anak merupakan komunikasi interpersonal yang terjadi secara langsung dan tatap muka. Selain itu orang tua pekerja dan anak memanfaatkan alat komunikasi dan media sosial untuk berkomunikasi di saat tidak dapat bertemu secara langsung. Komunikasi yang terjalin antara orang tua pekerja dan anak dapat berupa verbal dan juga nonverbal. Dengan kesibukan yang dimiliki orang tua tetap mampu meluangkan waktu untuk melakukan kontrol dan sosialisasi terhadap anak. Dalam kasus lain terdapat orang tua yang hanya berfokus pada tujuan memenuhi kebutuhan anak secara ekonomi saja sehingga mengabaikan pentingnya keintiman komunikasi dengan anak di dalam keluarga. Semakin baik komunikasi yang orang tua pekerja berikan, maka semakin berdampak baik pula bagi diri anak. begitu pula sebaiknya, apa bila komunikasi kurang berjalan baik di dalam keluarga, maka akan berdampak kurang baik pula bagi anak.
The purpose of this study was to find out the effort Batik Lasem artist in Babagan village to preserving and maintaining the Lasem batik industry. This study was designed using desriptive qualitative research methods. This study used four samples of artisans namely Batik “Sekar Kencana”, Batik “Kidang Mas”, Batik “Sumber Rejeki” dan Batik “Sekar Mulyo”. In this study, research data analysis technique uses three component are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study found that the Batik Lasem artisans in Babagan village still produce and maintain the authencity of Batik Tulis Lasem as did Batik “Sekar Kencana” dan Batik “Kidang Mas”. Beside that, the artisans also made a modification and innovation of Batik tulis Lasem to keep up with the market demand. Other than, artisans of Batik tulis Lasem have used social mediato sell their batik fabrics and as an effort to intoduce Batik tulis Lasem to wider audience. Based on the result, artisans as a agent has a reciprocal relationship with the social structure in production and reproduction their action in accordance with the theory of structuration. Where the structure as a rule makes artisans still create authentic Batik Lasem to maintain sustainability. But, it also creates a new structure as a “outcome” the reproduction of their action which makes Batik Tulis Lasem more diverse and to introduced more widely using social media.
