The authors performed technological investigations to obtain high-quality CdO and ZnO films using pyrolysis of cadmium and zinc acetates. It was found that conductivity of the resulting films can be controlled by deposition technique, thermal treatment, and introduction of additional elements into the solution. All the films featured low specific resistivity and good optical properties, making them a promising material to be used as transparent electrodes for photovoltaic devices operating under visible light.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
