This study aimed to determine family communication based on satisfaction with the uses of new media technology by millennial mothers and teachers in children studying from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted qualitatively through online interviews at the beginning of school from home during pandemic Covid-19. It was conducted from May until June 2020 with 30 millennial mothers born in the 1980s to 1999 in Indonesia. Millennial mothers experienced positive feelings (confidence, satisfaction, happiness) and negative feelings (burden, shock, frustration, stress, and depression). The child experienced positive feelings (happiness, satisfaction, enjoyment) and negative feelings (missing school, tiredness, stress, and sadness). The study results show that negative feelings are determined by negative thoughts caused by mothers’ communication when accompanying their children studying online. Therefore, mothers need to improve how they communicate with their children in school and at home to deal with negative emotions.
Self-actualization, career and professional demand sometimes require a person to pursue further studies at a higher level for both men and women. A woman who has married and has children then studying a postgraduate abroad certainly faces a complicated situation relating to eastern and patrilineal cultures that are identical to the roles and responsibilities of mothers in domestic affairs and parenting. In carrying out the role, required high quality communication by media with spouses and children when being separated residence during a relatively long study and with a long distance location. The aim of this study is to know how the uses of social media as electronically mediated interpersonal communication [EMIC] on commuter marriage family at Postgraduate Women Student in aboard. This is a qualitative approach study with phenomenology studies. Study done by depth interview with 4 [four] respondents whose studied at aboard, in Australia, America, and Europe. The result of this study was found that the respondent used Social Media to ccommunicate with their family, especially by WhatsApp, Line, Facebook and Skype. Most of respondents have enough skills of both sender and receiver for electronic message. Most of respondents also have enough communication richness, communication speed and presence. Social media also augment family communication by providing opportunities for social support beyond family members. The respondent also could kept maintaining the role of a mother and reduce the loneliness feeling and guilty feeling by video call and social media chatting. The contribution of this study was to give recommendation to some mother and/or wife who are in commuter marriage to escalate the skills of family communication trough social media so they could still run the role of mother and/or wife as much as they could.
This research aimed was the grid of personal branding image of Anies Baswedan through Facebook and Twitter account on Banjarmasin society. This research used quantitative approach with descriptive type. The population was Banjarmasin society aged 17-24 years old. Sample that taken was 399 people, sample re-trieval techniques used cluster random sampling. The method of data collection used questionnaire and observation, while the method of data analysis used image analysis grid by Kotler with the degree of trust was 95%. The results of the research, personal branding image of anies baswedan on familiarity scale is 74,44% or 297 respondents from 399 respondent of total samples, categorized on less know about Anies Baswedan. That means only 25,56% or 102 respondents who know him. Based on favorability scale there were 76,25% or 77 respondents from 102 respondents who know Anis Baswedan, categorized him as a good image of personal branding. Based on grid analysis model Anis Baswedan's Personal Branding are less known and good image. That means personal brand-ing image of anies baswedan was located on grid B, that was the assessment of respondents about Anies Baswedan was he does not well known but he has a good image.
The advancement of communication and information technology in Indonesia has become one of its strengths for handling maternal and infant mortality in Indonesia; with good skills in managing information using advanced technology and information sources from a midwife, the public will more easily recognize the signs of an emergency felt by pregnant women. and will give birth. This community service activity is carried out to increase the knowledge and ability of midwives to manage sources of maternal and newborn health information. The activity was carried out in Waluya District, Karawang Regency, and was attended by 20 midwives in the area. The activity found an increase in the knowledge and ability of midwives to manage digital information by 40%.
At the beginning of the year, high rainfall triggered overflows of river water which, in flooding, one of which was in Sungai Tabuk Village, Simpang Empat District, Banjar Regency. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge about potential disasters, characteristics, impacts, and cycles of flood disaster management for the village government and the people of Sungai Tabuk Village. The methodology used to provide understanding and increase awareness and improve communication between communities is through the Socialization of Flood Disaster Resilient. From this activity, it will increase public understanding and awareness to know the threat of disasters in their area so that they are able to organize and reduce disaster risk to reduce vulnerability to disasters with preparedness and make efforts to prevent and recover post-floods.
