The quality of academic services can affect students' satisfaction at the university. The aim of this study was to evaluate students' satisfaction with the academic services provided by lecturers in the bachelor of midwifery study program. A descriptive design was utilized in this study. The population was active Bachelor of Midwifery students, Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University, in 2022, using a sample of 191 respondents with purposive sampling. Indicators of students' satisfaction with academic services included reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. Data was collected using a ten-item questionnaire developed by the researchers with a Likert scale (1-4). This study was conducted in October 2022 using an online form. The respondents' level of achievement was in the fairly satisfactory category. The empathy indicator had the highest average TCR value among other indicators and was within the satisfied category. This research may give insight into providing opportunities for faculty management, especially study programs, to overcome weaknesses in the offered services and ensure better academic service quality. In addition, this research will stimulate more research attention on how the quality of academic services by academic supervisors can give better satisfaction to students.
Menopause is the point in time when menstrual cyclespermanently cease after having amenorrhea for 12 consecutive months which does not occur due to pathological conditions. There are many factors that affect women menopausal age, one of them is contraceptive use history. Contraception is divided into hormonal and non hormonal one. Lubuk Buaya is an area with highest DMPA injection and IUD acceptors in Padang. The aim of this research: to show the difference of menopausal age between DMPA injection acceptors and IUD acceptors in Lubuk Buaya Public Health Centre area. This was analytical research with cross sectional method. The sample is divided into 2 groups (n1 = Menopause women with DMPA injection history, n2 = Menopause women with IUD history) and taken by using quota sampling. The collecting of data involves 70 respondents in Lubuk Buaya public health centre by using questionnaire. The data were analized by univariate and T-test bivariate analysis (≤ 0.05). Results showed 51.4% of respondents were 56-60 years old. The average history of contraceptive use 6 years for each groups. The result of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant difference of menopausal age between DMPA injection acceptors and IUD acceptors (p = 0.000) with 3.2 yearsas mean difference. There was a difference of menopausal age between DMPA injection acceptors and IUD acceptors. It's expected women to be more selective to choose contraceptive method by considering the long term effects that arise related to menopausal age and its phycological and physical problems on it
Block 3.B, which is entitled Midwifery Care for normal delivery, is the second block that must be studied by third semester students in the Undergraduate Program of Midwifery, Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University. This study uses a comparative study. Bivariate analysis was categorical correlative using t-test, for hypothesis testing with Mc.Nemar, multivariate analysis using logistic regression analysis. The study population was all students of the S1 Midwifery Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University semester III. The results of calculations before applying the student center learning (CTL) learning method with a problem-based learning (PBL) approach through blended learning, The majority of students scored in the range 55-59 with a total of 9 people (20%), while after being given treatment the student scores increased with the majority in the range 75-79, namely 16 people (36%). Based on the results of the discussion above, it can be concluded that blended learning has a positive impact on increasing the value and motivation of student learning in Block 3B.
Achievement of the learning objectives of a student with the method of learning problem based learning (PBL), can be influenced by the results of extracting their peer information in small groups because the information obtained by students will be discussed to perfect the knowledge gained. This study applies a blended learning and tutorial in the PBL method. The results of the study, there was an increase in the value of students before and after treatment with a value of p = 0,000, and there was a difference in grades of students in 2017 and 2016, where the grades of students in 2017 were better than in 2016, with p = 0.001. The results of the interview that students prefer the Blended Learning method over discussion in large classes, students feel better understand the discussion material, each group member is more active and gives their opinions according to the theory of the book or journal that has been studied, lecturer attention to each student is greater, so students are very enthusiastic in studying the material and discussing it. PBL method with blended learning is very effective to be applied in learning to increase the activeness, interactive, learning motivation, and critical thinking of students.
The rise of the sexual harassment phenomenon tends to overwrite such weak people, for instance children. This emerges out physical and psychological injuries. The reported incidents can besaidinthelowratebecauseofthelackofeducationofthe children to have a direct reaction when the sexual harassment attacksthem. This research is aimed at finding out the impact of the health education about self-concept and selfdefense towards sexual abuse prevention attitude and knowledge to the students of SD X in Padang City. This research is kind of Pre Experiment with One Group Pretest Postest design. The data were collected on March to April 2019. The populations of this research are 5th and 6th grade students. The amount of the samples are 41 subjects. ThesamplesaretakenusingTotalSamplingtechnique.Thedata processing is done with Paired Sample T-Test (p<0,05) using software SPSS 17. The results of this research showed that the average knowledge and attitude of the students before given the health education is 5,85 and after given the health education is 7,66. The analysis result of Paired Samples T-Test is p value (p=0,000). There is an impact of health education about self-concept and self-defense towards sexual harassment prevention knowledge and attitude. It is expected that through this research, teachers and parents can recognize and understand the structure and the dangerous sexual harassment
