We introduce a distributed augmented reality framework for aerial video which uses CPU/GPU acceleration to correct sensor metadata errors, create a geo-referenced scene model registered to the video, overlay important data, and stream to multiple web clients in order to improve situational awareness during real-time missions.
Quality of Service (QoS) can he provided as a per-applications. QoS in general means "the totaliry of features application service, a network layer option or both. Many of the and characteristics of a product of service that bears its proposed QoS architectures for Networked Virtual Environments ability sarisfL stated or inzplied needs.. (British Standards (NVE) applications include the per-application service approach. Most of them on video and audio components with less Institution). Therefore, quality should be measurable (metrics) emphasis on user interactions and user level QoS. This paper and perceivable to the user and service should match the needs describes a top down approach to address wer level QoS issue. of the user. For a @\'en mer level QoS value, network requirement5 can For a given user level QoS value, network requirements can be reduced by optimizing task or application Level scenarios. It is based on the concept of QoS translation and mapping among user, application and network layers. The mapping of The maPPil1g of QoS metrics between user and application QoS metria between wer and application levels is achieved levels and then translation of the application level QoS values by using the summative evaluation technique and by analyzing to network requirements provides a way to measure QoS at the statistical results. The derived mapping function provides the level, The rest of the paper is organized as follows. Section I1 re-a set of application level QoS values for a given user level QoS value. The application level QoS values are translated to network requirements using level tracking, simulation or views and describes QoS metrics at different levels. Section III network monitor tools. The end result is the optimal set of the describes proposed QoS mapping and architecture. Section IV application level QoS values that provides the desired user level describes the implementation and provides an example of QoS while minimizing network requirements. An example based the proposed approach. Section v
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
