Allergic contact dermatitis to nitroglycerin has been previously reported. A localized cutaneous burn-like reaction due to the transdermal device was recently described. We are presenting a case of recurrent allergic contact dermatitis due to nitroglycerin as well as to its delivery device, resulting in numerous patches of postinflammatory hypermelanosis at the sites of application.
SUMMARY
The isolation of Trichophyton soudanense outside of Africa has been reported relatively infrequently and in single cases only. As far as we know widespread infection within white families has not previously been noted. We have isolated T. soudanense from seven individuals in a family of ten, from three of seven members of a second family, and from a classmate of one of the affected children in the first family.
A case of keratoacanthoma arising in stasis dermatitis is presented. The eczematous dermatitis was aggravated by episodes of deep tissue inflammation, yet the common course of the tumor was not altered. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a keratoacanthoma arising in stasis dermatitis.
A case of systemic, progressive sarcoidosis with a specific histology of skin and lymph node, a positive Kveim test and a typical radiograph of the lungs, as well as good evidence of specific myocardial involvement is presented.
