Social media is a part of modern people lifestyle in Industrial Revolution 4.0. Furthermore, it has started to be utilized in education field as one of the learning media, for example, Instagram. It is widely known among social media users. Several studies have proved positive impacts on the use of social media in developing students' English skills. However, the studies about Instagram, specifically in relation to English lesson at schools are limited. Thus, using a case study method, this study is conducted to describe the use of Instagram to develop students' motivation and to enhance their English knowledge and skills. The participants are students in an Indonesian school of Jeddah. They come from various background yet they are lack of motivation. Results indicate Instagram has succeeded in motivating students to learn English and improving their English competence. The materials preferred are those relate to grammar, vocabulary, and writing.
The current era of digitization is known as the digital era 4.0. It is said that the digital era is due to the massive use of the internet in the community. But unfortunately not a few people can see the opportunity to use internet services is a potential market to market the products and services they produce. So we from the TEAM of the Faculty of Economics, University of Bina Sarana Informatika, carried out Community Service activities in the form of Training on Introduction and Utilization of Social Media to Increase Sales of Hydroponic Products for Youth and Youth RW 03 Sumber Jaya Village, Tambun Selatan District, Bekasi Regency with the aim of encouraging and improving the abilities of the Karang Taruna youth and residents of Sumber Jaya Village who are now able to produce hydroponic vegetables, so that they can develop their business by increasing sales through social media. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, which was followed up with PSBB and PPKM, it has had an impact on traders and entrepreneurs in increasing their product sales, as well as hydroponic agricultural products pioneered by youth organizations and residents of RW 03 Sumber Jaya Village, Tambun Selatan District, Bekasi Regency. The results of this training are expected to open up the insight and knowledge of youth organizations and residents of Sumber Jaya Village in utilizing social media to increase sales of hydroponic agricultural products they manage.
Internet sudah banyak digunakan dalam berbagai bidang, seperti informasi, telekomunikasi, perdagangan, hingga pendidikan, sehingga memudahkan suatu perusahaan atau institusi memberikan informasi yang sangat berguna bagi masyarakat terkadang masih ada juga instansi yang belum menggunakan aplikasi berbasi web untuk kegiatan usahanya, salah satunya adalah lembaga pendidikan bimbingan belajar bahasa inggris yang berada di kota tangerang dengan jumlah siswa dan pengajar yang banyak, masih menerapkan sistem penjadwalan secara konvensional, dimana pihak admin akan menghubungi siswa dan pengajar melalui telepon jika ada kelas pengajaran, kendala lainya pihak admin lupa memberitahukan ke siswa dan pengajar jika ada jadwal, jadwal yang diberikan tidak sesuai dan bentrok dengan kelas lain, siswa atau pengajar tidak dapat menghubungi pihak admin untuk mendapatkan informasi jadwal. Dengan memafaatkan teknologi informasi permasalahan tersebut dapat dipermudah dengan dibuatkan racngan bangun aplikasi belajar mengajar berbasis web yang dikembangkan dengan metode waterfall. Metode pengembangan ini meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, dan pengujian. Pada tahap analisis kebutuhan dilakukan pemodelan proses bisnis to-be yang dibuat berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan stakeholder dan analisis permasalahan. Hasil perancangan aplikasi menghasilkan aplikasi yang dapat melakukan manajemen pengelolahan penjadwal data pengajar, data pelajararan dan data siswa, yang akan tersimpan didalam database.
