A visual novel game is a visual communication design product that integrates graphic design through visual styles, visual character designs, and narrative designs accompanied by interactive communicative story construction. Games with the best storytelling and the ability to communicate historical chronology and cultural facts are synonymous with visual novel games. In the previous study, the Visual Novel Folklore Game of the Origins of the City of Surabaya featured puzzle and dialogue mechanics to build a more interactive narrative with the user. In addition, there is a branching narrative where users can make decisions by choosing which point of view the user wants to play. Several stages in this study include data collection, usability testing, data analysis, and conclusion. The results of this user experience analysis research overview several usability aspects that should be concerned in the subsequent game development. The usability aspects tested are Learnability, Memorability, Efficiency, Error, and Satisfaction. Of the 114 respondents involved in this study, the highest average score was obtained for the satisfaction aspect, which was 4.17, while the lowest average score was for the error aspect, which was 3.83, the games is easy to play and get satisfying results in every aspect of usability, the games is easy to play and achieves satisfactory results in each usability parameter.
Abstrack -The PENS Campus Virtual Tour is an application that uses virtual reality technology that allows visitors to view a nearby location on a 360º multi-image panorama media. Virtual reality technologies are used as the information provided is more interactive. The study was conducted in EEPIS by distributing questionnaires to students over four weeks using an electronic Google form. The questionnaire contains a usability measure to determine how easy it is for the user to use or run the created application. This study uses five categories to measure usability: learning ability, recall, effectiveness, error and satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that usability with aspects of learning ability, memory, efficiency and satisfaction gets a score above 4 on a scale of 1 to 5. While the error aspect gets a value of 3.93, because there are several minor errors displayed by the system. Overall, the Virtual Tour application is easy to learn and users feel comfortable in using the application and introducing the campus environment to students with an average score of 4.08 in all aspects. In addition, the results of this study provide information for managers to develop Virtual tour applications of the PENS campus.
IEEE 802.15.4 standard is widely used in wireless personal area networks (WPANs). The devices transmit data during two periods: contention access period (CAP) by accessing the channel using CSMA/CA and contention free period (CFP), which consists of guaranteed time slots (GTS) allocated to individual devices by the personal area network (PAN). However, the use of GTS slot size may lead to severe bandwidth wastage if the traffic pattern is not fit or only a small portion of GTS slot is used by allocated device. The proposed scheme devides the GTS slot and then optimizes the GTS slot size by exploiting the value of superframe order (SO) information. The proposed scheme was tested through simulations and the results show that the new GTS allocation scheme perform better than the original IEEE 802.15.4 standard in terms of average transmitted packets, throughput, latency and probability of successful packets.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
