Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has maintained rapid growth. At the same time, the process of urbanization in China has been accelerating and the scale of urban construction land has expanded accordingly. The purpose of the research is to explore whether there is an inevitable connection between the expansion of urban construction land and economic growth. This study uses 108 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt as an example. Considering panel data from 2005 to 2015, the spatial econometric model was used to explore the impact of urban construction land expansion on regional economic growth. The results are as follows: (1) The expansion of construction land in cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has a significant impact on economic growth but the extent of the impact is not as great as that of capital stock. (2) In the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the expansion of urban construction land in a certain area has not only a positive effect on the local economic growth but also a certain spillover effect and it can promote the economic development level of the adjacent areas in the economic belt. (3) Although the expansion of urban construction land along the Yangtze River Economic Belt promotes economic growth, there are obvious differences between regions. The expansion of urban construction land in the central region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has a significant driving effect on economic growth. However, the expansion of urban construction land in the eastern and western regions has no significant effect on the economic growth of the respective regions. Finally, based on the above conclusions, this paper proposes corresponding policy recommendations for economic development in different regions. These research conclusions will also facilitate the follow-up of other researchers to further explore the driving factors of the economic development of many prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the related mechanisms for the expansion of construction land to promote economic growth.
Context In recent years, the important value of rural landscape has been highlighted in tourism, cultural heritage, ecology and other elds, rural landscape research (RLR) has been paid more and more attention by researchers, with the deepening of research, RLR has the characteristics of diversity and complexity. Objectives To understand the development trend of RLR in the past 20 years, the distribution of research power, research hotspots and frontal research, to comb through the relevant results of RLR, to analyze the progress of RLR, and nally to integrate the main contents of RLR in a framework. Methods 735 related literatures were selected from the WoS Core Collection Database, and the papers on RLR from 1992 to 2020 were quantitatively data mined and qualitatively summarized by using Bibliometrics and VOSviwer software for mapping and analysis. Results (1) The number of papers on RLR increased from 1992 to 2020, during which it gradually became a hotspot research eld that attracted increasing global attention. (2) From the research strength, Europe has a great in uence in RLR, and has issued a series of conventions and protection policies, making its rural landscape become a model of modern rural development. There is little international cooperation and exchange in RLR, which is not conducive to the development of disciplines. Landscape & Urban Planning journals t the theme of RLR. (3) The ve hotspots of RLR are: rural cultural landscape and rural development; rural tourism landscape, the matching of landscape value and landscape perception; urban-rural interaction, land use change and landscape pattern con ict; change of ecosystem service value; rural landscape planning, protection and management. Conclusions RLR has developed from a study based on geography and ecology to a comprehensive research direction combining multidisciplinary and multimethods of social and economic development, culture and other elements. At present, RLR covers the ecological landscape, production landscape, tourism landscape and cultural landscape of rural landscape system, changes from static pattern of rural landscape to dynamic evolution process, urban-rural interaction, ecosystem service and multifunctional landscape trade-off, and changes from single dimension to multi-dimensional in research paradigm, and combines "3S" technology and various landscape ecological model software. From the perspective of multidisciplinary research, from the perspective of rural landscape system, the correlation and mechanism between rural landscape multifunctionality, and dynamic monitoring and trend simulation, help to clarify the rural landscape multi-functional trade-off ideas and paths to guide the sustainable development of rural areas.Landscape Ecology 23 3.17% 3.385
Land consolidation is widely used as a powerful tool for land use management in many countries. In order to objectively reveal the current research status in the field of land consolidation, this paper uses the Bibliometrix and Biblioshiny software packages, and VOSviewer to analyze the literature in the field of land consolidation in the last 20 years of the Web of Science Core Collection Database. The results show that: (1) In the past two decades, the annual publication of papers on land consolidation rose. It can be divided into three stages: 2000–2007 for the embryonic period, 2008–2012 for the long-term, and 2013–2020 for the high-yield period. (2) Land consolidation studies covered 68 countries or regions. The top three countries were China, Poland, and the United States. China and the United States played an important role in international cooperation in the field of land consolidation, and Turkey mainly conducted independent research in the field of land consolidation. (3) Land consolidation, reclamation, China, remote sensing, and land fragmentation were the high-frequency keywords in the field of land consolidation in recent years. (4) The research focusing on the field of land consolidation involved its development course, its impact on ecosystem services, and the evaluation of its benefits. (5) The theme of land consolidation studies was shunted and evolved over time, and nine evolution paths could be summarized in the studies of cultivated land fragmentation, development course of land consolidation, and impacts of land consolidation on soil. Finally, this paper predicted the future research directions of land consolidation: exploring new methods for evaluating the benefits of land consolidation, the scale effects of the impact of land consolidation on ecosystem services, research on the mechanism and comprehensive effects of land consolidation on soil, research on land consolidation and rural revitalization, and land consolidation theory research.
Ecological land is constantly modified by agriculture and construction, which leads to soil erosion, land degradation, soil pollution flood disasters, and many other land ecological security problems, threatening sustainable development. Few studies have been made to construct a land‐use ecological security pattern (LUESP) aimed at achieving urban expansion, food security, and ecological security from the perspective of land‐use needs. This study seeks to provide decision makers with the choice of multi‐scenario LUESPs by simulating the LUESP under different scenarios, offering a reasonable land‐use ecological security regulation strategy. In this paper, the ecological security evaluation method was used to identify key ecological space of a study area and the scenario analysis method was used to set up three security scenarios: ideal security (IS) scenario, satisfactory security (SS) scenario, and bottom‐line security (BS) scenario, thereby constructing the constrained cellular automata (CA) model of the LUESP and simulating the LUESPs under three security scenarios for Xingguo County, China. The results showed that the LUESP construction land index and arable land index did not exceed the total amount of the General Plan of Land Use in Xingguo County under the three security scenarios. Moreover, both key ecological space loss and landscape fragmentation degree were greatly reduced, the ecological patches tend to cluster, and the anti‐jamming ability of the landscape pattern was enhanced. The ranking of LUESPs under three security scenarios was as follows: BS scenario > SS scenario > IS scenario. These results implied that the LUESPs met the demand for land in Xingguo County for ecological security, food security, and economic development, while space occupied is different under three security scenarios. The decision makers can adopt appropriate land‐use ecological security regulation strategies according to the future development plans of the region.
