In order to improve high performance and low power of image processing embedded system, A high-efficient image processing embedded system which is based on the field programmable gate array and high-speed digital signal processor in this paper. In the whole system, A novel data transmission structure with a dual-port RAM which is divided into two halves, is applied to buff the high-speed real-time image data by Ping-pong technique. Because all work in the system is divided between the FPGA and DSP in the form of the pipelined, it is 25% higher than the processing system based on the single DSP in performance.
Smart homes will give the disabled an opportunity for independence that they may not have had before. This paper designs an smart home system that communicates with a mobile device such as a cell phone or PDA via Bluetooth. Their approach sends messages via Bluetooth using the available Bluetooth module on the nodes. This means no further hardware is required and additionally no further costs arise.
A collision detection algorithm based on hybrid bounding volume hierarchy was proposed using k-DOPs and sphere between complex objects. A simple algorithm to the particular structure of hydraulic servo manipulator was introduced based on the relation of line to line and line to plane to deal with real time collision detection between graphicrobot and operation task in consideration of the bounding volume hierarchy method.Validity of thisalgorithm was proved through experiments . The experimental results show that the proposed collision detection model is simple and fast in calculation,and easy for realization.it can solve on line simulation problem in remote operation for construction robot,and could be applied in simple virtual reality system.
We propose a simple and efficient DC/DC converter circuit topology, the asymmetrical half bridge DC/DC converter used in the field of electric vehicle battery system, and make switching devices working under the condition of soft switch converter. This can easily be done with the help of state equations and MATLAB/SIMULINK as a tool for simulation of those state equations.
In this paper we propose a near real-time face detection system for smart home. The system is embedded in an interconnected home environment and enables intelligent servicing by automatic identification of users. The design attempts for the first time to realize face locating system on the FPGA platform using the method combined initiative infrared source with image difference. Through image difference process, the system obtains a difference image without background interference which takes the face as the main body. It can obtain the person face boundary by projecting the difference image in the horizontal and vertical direction.
