By applying randomized sampling to interference fading suppressed coherent phase-sensitive optic time domain reflectometry (φ-OTDR) system, quantitative vibration signal measurement with much higher frequency than the Nyquist sampling theorem determined upper limit was demonstrated.
A novel distributed twist sensor utilizing frequency-scanning φ-OTDR in a spun fiber is theoretically analyzed and experimentally demonstrated by tracking the fiber twist induced frequency shift of correlation peak, enabling distributed quantitative twist measurement.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
