The aim of the study is to find out Nurse's perception of patient safety culture in an effort to improve service quality. This study uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. The result of the study is obtained that the informants assume that the socialization carried out by the hospital in the context of increasing knowledge related to patient safety is not effective. Education and training for patient safety is carried out continuously to increase knowledge, improve and maintain staff competence. While the socialization carried out by the hospital did not have much influence to increase the informant's knowledge related to patient safety.
Rational prescribing is an important element in achieving the quality of health services which is one indicator in patient safety in hospital. The purpose of this study was to find out how the collaboration of the role of doctors and pharmacists in rational prescribing at Rantauprapat District Hospital. The research methodology uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with doctors and pharmacists on duty at Rantauprapat District Hospital. The results showed that the form of collaboration between doctors and pharmacists in rational prescribing conducted at Rantauprapat District Hospital included: reviewing prescription contents, solving problems related to drug use and providing drug information. The results also showed that the obstacles in implementing collaborative roles of doctors and pharmacists included: the problem of the quantity of pharmacists that did not meet the standards and the limited pharmacist's knowledge of clinical pharmacy and the limited communication between doctors and pharmacists. Mitigation efforts include: recruiting pharmacists with clinical pharmacy qualifications, providing continuing education and training in clinical pharmacy to pharmacists, evaluating the implementation of pharmacy service policies in hospitals especially visits with doctors and pharmacists and building communication links between doctors and pharmacists through empowering the role of the pharmaceutical and therapeutic committee.
This research aims to demonstrate the influence of self-efficacy and social media towards the interest of social entrepreneurs on cadres of posyandu (maternal and child health services) in Medan Labuhan sub-district. The focus of this research are the cadres of posyandu in Medan Labuhan sub-district. It is hoped that it will encourage social entrepreneurship in Medan Labuhan sub-district that will increase the income of the community and cadres of posyandu in Medan Labuhan. The research methods used in this study included distributing questionnaires to 32 respondents. Quantitative research with data analysis techniques is used to analyse the questionnaires and multiple regression analysis by using SPSS. 23.0 for windows. The results obtained from multiple regression analysis showed that self-efficacy has a positive influence and significance towards the interest of social entrepreneurs at cadres of the posyandu in Medan Labuhan with a significance value of 0.000 <0.01 and B of 0.970, meaning that if self-efficacy were to increase by one unit, the interest of social entrepreneurs would also increase by as many as 0.970 units. Meanwhile, for social media variables obtained from the results of social media analysis on the interest of social entrepreneurs at the cadres of posyandu in Medan Labuhan with a significance value of 0.092> 0.01 and B of 0.150 units, it means that if the social media variable increases by one unit, the interests of social entrepreneurs will increase as many as 0.150 units. The insignificance of social media variables from the analysis shows that social media is not related to the interests of social entrepreneurs. Because of time constraints, researchers only changed two variables in the current study, namely self-efficacy and social media. For further research, it is recommended that other variables such as the family environment and information technology should be studied.
One of the social problems that require an immediate solution in Medan city is the growing number of street children, such as in the Amplas terminal area, which reaches 60 people. These children are vulnerable to health risks from long hours and a very vulnerable workplace social environment. However, attention to street children health problems has not been so great. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to see the health problems faced by street children in Medan Amplas terminal, especially physical, psychological, and social health issues. This research is a qualitative research, with in-depth interviews to 6 street children in Medan Amplasstation, and then continues with thematic analysis for data analysis. From the research, obtained physical health problems suffered by all informants are fever, influenza, wounds, ulkus, scabies, and skin irritation. Three people have coughs and respiratory problems. A small part has itching, diarrhea, stomach acid and headache. As for the psychological health problem, 3 people feel the relationship with the family is less harmonious and only a small fears are asked for money by the Punk and Satpol PP raid and the fear of being beaten by the Punk and Satpol PP. Social health problems experienced are ngelem (breathe in glue addicted) (4 people), drop out from primary school (3 people) and smoking addicted (2 people). This physical health problem occurs due to poor personal hygiene and poor hygiene knowledge. This is exacerbated by exposure to dust on the road and the exposure of street children to sunlight for a long time, as well as poor lifestyles such as ngelem and smoking. Therefore, the promotion of health on street children is needed, especially about personal hygiene, prevent exposure to dust on the highway into the body, avoid exposure to sunlight, and how to live a good lifestyle.
