This study is devoted to the fate of the German language island dialects in foreign language environment. The authors has explored the nature of the changes, the degree of dialectal features loss, indicate the possibility of developing new features. The sub dialects as elements of the language system were found to continue existing even outside the native language range. The peculiarities of language systems existence in extreme conflict conditions like those of the German dialects on the Volga region territory are of particular research interest, as they are influenced not only by the native language system, but also by another foreign language and culture. Language relations are determined not simply by coexistence of the two language systems, the German and Russian ones, and bilingualism of the majority of the German ethnic group representatives, but by the complex specificity of language processes in the past and even more complicated, specific current language situation, which determined the relevance of the article theme. n.
Abstract-This article examines the problem of improving the methodic and didactic organization of technical college students' professionally oriented foreign language teaching. The authors emphasize the role of such acmeological characteristics of personal and professional specialists' formation as selforganization and self-control in the process of educational and cognitive competence development. The basic features of these key concepts are described, the possible methods of their development in the process of students' independent work during foreign language learning are defined, and some tasks developing the ability to self-organization and formation of readiness for self-control in learning and future careers are proposed. It has been concluded that the independent work rational organization is an active tool for the individual qualities of self-organization and self-control development. The concept of professionally oriented foreign language teaching combining a number of motivational features has been proposed for introduction into the educational practice. It will allow resolving the contradiction between the theoretical subject nature of teaching and practical nature of upcoming professional activity.
This study examines the question of development of an important component of the foreign language communicative competence - the skill of writing as a structural element of the technical university students’ professional competence. The methods and ways of the stated aim achievement are analyzed from the perspective of the competence and personality-oriented approaches. Professional communication is presented as a multicomponent phenomenon, requiring detailed study. Foreign and domestic research in the field of foreign language teaching formed the theoretical basis for studying the methodical and didactic aspects of writing activities. The authors define students’ acquisition of writing skills in the process of education as the development of elementary communicative competence. Tasks for the writing skills development are described as a productive tool for organizing educational activities. The authors emphasize the special role of creative tasks and how they can contribute to achieving the set goals in teaching. Practical recommendations on the development of writing skills and this process monitoring are given.
