The aim of the work is to analyze the use of medicines containing retinoids for the treatment of psoriasis on the example of Ukraine, Poland and Kazakhstan. Materials and methods. The object of the study was antipsoriatic drugs, which are used for the treatment of psoriasis of local and systemic action, and are included in the official register of drugs of the studied countries. Regulatory documents of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine were involved in the analysis of the use of medicines for the treatment of psoriasis in Ukraine. The analysis of the availability of the considered medicines on pharmaceutical markets was carried out according to the data of the official websites of the State Register of Medicines (Ukraine), the Register of Medicines of Poland (Republic of Poland), data of the National Center for Expertise of Medicines and Medical Devices of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Republic of Kazakhstan). The following methods of logical and meaningful formulation of the problem, office marketing research, content analysis of publications in scientific and practically oriented medical and pharmaceutical publications, comparative analysis, tabular and graphic means of visual presentation of the obtained data were used in the work. The results. According to the results of the obtained data, an assortment of medicinal products containing retinoids of the studied countries, used for the treatment of psoriasis, was determined. The fate of domestic production in the countries was analyzed, the main active components from the group of retinoids used for the treatment of psoriasis in preparations of systemic and local action were updated. Conclusions. The role of retinoids in the treatment of psoriasis in Ukraine, Poland and Kazakhstan and the need to develop modern domestic medicines containing retinoids for the treatment of psoriasis have been determined
Acne is a common skin disease, which is accompanied by a significant skin and psychological burden. Today in Ukraine, significant attention is paid to the issue of acne treatment – scientists from leading scientific, medical (pharmaceutical) and cosmetic institutions are engaged in the search for the most optimal means for the acne treatment. Retinoids are a group of substances that deserves thorough study in terms of production and sustainable introduction of drugs to the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine. Therefore, the goal of our work was the marketing analysis of drugs for the treatment of acne with the content of retinoids as active substances. Determining the main trends of foreign manufacturers in the use of retinoids in medicinal products for the acne treatment will allow to predict approaches to the development of domestic effective medicine containing retinoids. During the analysis, methods of logical and meaningful formulation of the problem, office marketing research, content analysis of publications in scientific and practically oriented medical and pharmaceutical publications, comparative analysis, tabular and graphic means of visual presentation of the obtained data were used. The analysis of the range of drugs containing retinoids, presented on the domestic pharmaceutical market, was carried out according to the data of the State Register of Medicinal Products of Ukraine, the classification system of the ATC, and the State Formulary of Medicinal Products. According to the results of the work, it was determined that 13 trade names of medicinal products containing retinoids for the acne treatment are registered on the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine. It was determined that there are no registered medicinal products for the acne treatment containing retinoids of domestic production. In Ukraine medicines containing retinoids are represented by six countries. Among the dosage forms used for the acne treatment, solid dosage forms (hard and soft capsules) and soft dosage forms (gels, creams, lotions) should be distinguished. Today, the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine presents drugs of the I, III and IV generation of retinoids. Most of the drugs for the acne treatment containing retinoids registered in Ukraine are monocomponent. The lack of combinations of retinoids with active components widely used for the acne treatment is related to the technological aspects of the production of drugs with retinoids. The volume of sales of drugs with retinoids for the treatment of acne has been increasing in recent years, despite the high cost of products, which indicates the demand for the development of these drugs of domestic production. The obtained data will make it possible to develop approaches to the introduction into the production of domestic drugs for the treatment of acne containing retinoids.
Aim. To analyze the use of retinoids in the pharmaceutical practice of Ukraine and the world and determine the prospects for the development of domestic medicinal products containing retinoids. Materials and methods. The study objects were local and systemic medicines containing active substances belonging to retinoids by their composition (adapalen, tazarotene, tretinoin, acitretin, isotretinoin, etc.). For the analysis of the recent research and publications the methods of scientific analysis were used; they contributed to the comparison, analysis, generalization and systematization of literature data. To achieve the goal, generally accepted research methods were used; they contributed to an objective assessment of the analysis of the pharmaceutical market. Results. Based on the results of the studies conducted, a brief description and classification by generations of the group of active substances belonging to retinoids is given. The list of diseases for which these substances are used in world therapeutic practice has been determined. Data regarding the need to use modern techniques to preserve the therapeutic properties of retinoids have been obtained. The pharmaceutical market of Ukraine has been studied for the presence of medicinal products containing retinoids (6 products of local action out of the range of only 9 products). Dosage forms (gels and lotions) for the treatment of dermatological diseases in Ukraine have been identified. It has been found that adapalene has a greater share of medicines at the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine as local agents. Conclusions. The studies have shown the absence of domestic medicinal products containing retinoids for the treatment of a number of dermatological diseases at the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine. Based on the research results, the relevance of further studies on the development of retinoid-containing products for use as local therapy has been determined.
