The article is devoted to the problem of considering the current trends in the development of school primary education, improving and updating the professional training of teachers. The problem of training primary school teachers is especially relevant, because their professional and pedagogical qualities, knowledge, skills, formed in higher education, in particular dynamism, creativity, constructiveness, communication will stimulate the formation of vital personality traits of junior students and are the basis for further successful degree school education. Purposeful acquisition by students of knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of pedagogical education, their transformation in competence contributes to personal cultural growth, development of educational technologies, ability to respond quickly to the demands of time.It is determined that the readiness of future primary school teachers for professional and pedagogical activities includes the ability to use scientific, psychological and pedagogical, methodological and subject knowledge for the purpose of teaching, education and development of primary school students, which provides a number of competencies: ability to model and organize educational learning branches of the State standard of primary education and the ability of the teacher to choose the necessary tools, forms and methods, technologies for organizing the activities of students in the learning process; ability to act effectively, solving standard and problematic methodological problems while teaching students in conditions of uncertainty, consciously operate with general didactic and innovative technologies in professional and pedagogical activities, the ability to professional creativity.Analysis of the content and procedural component of teacher training at the present stage shows that the current system of professional training of students of pedagogical faculties in the field of knowledge «Education / Pedagogy», specialty 013 «Primary Education» needs to improve the content, methods, forms, technologies.
