The article is devoted to the improvement of professional training of masters of vocational education by increasing the effectiveness of pedagogical management in higher education institutions. The relevance of the study is due to the need to train highly qualified specialists of the new generation, which is impossible without the organization of competent pedagogical management.The purpose of the article is to develop ways to solve the problems of pedagogical management, which complicate the professional training of masters of vocational education. To achieve this goal, the study solved a number of tasks: the role of pedagogical management in the professional training of masters of vocational education was determined, the foreign experience of pedagogical management in higher education institutions and the peculiarities of its organization in domestic educational institutions were analyzed, the problems of pedagogical management in the content of professional training of masters of vocational education were identified and ways to solve them were proposed.The study used general scientific methods of cognition. The current state of organization of pedagogical management in foreign and domestic higher education institutions is determined by the method of critical analysis. The problems of pedagogical management, which complicate the professional training of masters of vocational education, were identified in the process of synthesis of information. Ways to solve these problems are found by methods of induction and deduction.According to the results of the study, it was found that the success of professional training of masters of vocational education depends on competent pedagogical management, but its organization in higher education institutions of Ukraine is complicated by a number of problems: ineffective interaction with enterprises, which makes it impossible for masters to obtain practical skills, unpreparedness of masters for a large amount of research work, inconsistency of curricula with modern requirements, limited powers of middle managers, low level of management training.The solution to these problems requires the creation of career centers, establishing close cooperation with enterprises, changing the conditions for admission to the master's program, reorienting master's programs from passive forms of education to more practical, expanding the powers of middle managers, mandatory courses for the formation and improvement of managerial competencies of managers of higher education institutions, providing higher education institutions with autonomy in terms of managing their own funds.The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying the results obtained in the process of developing a methodology for organizing pedagogical management in higher education institutions in the preparation of masters of vocational education.
