The article is devoted to the issue of distance learning. It discusses the relevance and grounds of using distance learning tools in the education process of higher education institutions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and describes the organization of distance learning at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors present the professional competences of social work specialists and academic disciplines that form these competences on the example of the educational program "Social Advocacy" of the first level of higher education (Bachelor) as well as the basic ICTs in the process of distance learning used by teachers of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors introduce the expected results of implementation and realization of distance learning in the education process of higher educational institutions in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The article considers the issue of education of students with disabilities in higher education institutions. It emphasizes the importance and features of social and pedagogical support that takes into consideration the main points that cause difficulties in this category in obtaining educational services. The article defines the perspective ways of solving the problems that concern the organization of support to students with disabilities in the environment of higher education institutions. Understanding the essence of social and pedagogical support of students with disabilities in higher education institutions involves, first of all, knowledge of the specifics of various types of developmental disorders, identifying existing problems, needs and opportunities of such students as well as creating appropriate conditions in the educational environment. The growing number of people with disabilities in Ukraine raises a number of issues related to their adaptation, socialization, including education and employment. A special place in the system of higher education in Ukraine is occupied by the integrated form of education of students with disabilities together with other students, the main condition of which is to ensure equal access to education, extracurricular activities and equal rights to obtain the higher education. The important component of the process of integration of youth with disabilities into society is the creation of appropriate conditions for learning and development of students with disabilities in higher education institutions, acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies. In modern conditions, the accessibility of higher education for people with disabilities is an acute social and pedagogical problem which is associated with the formation of a holistic vision and the specifics of the socio-pedagogical process.
The purpose of this article is to provide recommendations for social workers and social field practitioners of state and non-governmental organizations working with families affected by HIV/AIDS. The article identifies a series of crisis stages of families affected by HIV/AIDS. Families caring for HIV-positive children go through four crisis stages. The first stage comes after the report about an unconfirmed possibility that a child has HIV. The second stage is when the diagnosis confirms the child’s HIV positive status. The third stage coincides with the first signs of opportunistic infections in the child. The fourth stage is associated with the progression of the disease and the development of the fourth clinical stage of HIV infection. At each of these stages, families need medical, psychological, and social support. In line with professional support, an effective method of assistance and a way to overcome a crisis can be self-help groups, in which people learn to voice their difficulties and problems, seek support or provide it to other families. Using the results of the study gained through focus groups with social work practitioners from various regions of Ukraine, the authors developed recommendations on supporting families affected by HIV/AIDS.
For comprehensive, a child needs to be brought up in a family environment, with an atmosphere of happiness, love, understanding, and respect for human dignity. Parents' understanding of the problems of raising children is an important component of family well-being. But today, most conflicts occur precisely in the family environment between spouses and between parents and children. Therefore, the problem of prevention of family dysfunction is an urgent problem for modern society. The article is devoted to the problems of family dysfunction and its consequences for Ukrainian society; scientific and theoretical provisions for social prevention of family dysfunction are defined and it is emphasized that indicators of family dysfunction are related to economic, social, psychological, and personal reasons. Taking into account the key indicators of disadvantage, the following types of dysfunctional families and their impact on the state of the family are distinguished: conflict, pedagogically incompetent, immoral, antisocial; the terms denoting the phenomenon of family dysfunction were analyzed: dysfunctional family, destructive, dysfunctional, problematic, crisis and family with risks. The authors emphasize that one of the leading directions of social work with the family is the prevention of family dysfunction, which is carried out through strengthening the institution of the family, preparing young people for married life, forming family values in young people, popularizing the model of responsible parenthood, and which promotes the realization of rights and freedoms of the child, creation of favorable conditions for its development, formation of universal human values, the satisfaction of material and spiritual needs of people. Social prevention of family dysfunction involves a set of measures by social institutions of the community aimed at prevention, limitation and mitigation of risk factors, correction of parents' behavior associated with a threat to the health and social well-being of family members, as well as rehabilitation of those who have experienced its consequences. The activities of social workers are aimed at creating social conditions to meet the needs and interests of families. The effectiveness of preventive intervention depends on the correct choice of the type of prevention, which will be the most expedient for the prevention of family problems in the community.
Abstract:Joining of Ukrainian educators to the European educational space requires from the higher educational establishments of Ukraine rapid achievement of a qualitatively new level of teaching disciplines for the professional and humanitarian direction. As well as ensuring the intellectual, material, psychological and moral readiness of future specialists to work in a fastmoving world in which a modern specialist faces the need to process large arrays of information and constantly update their knowledge, skills, abilities. The authors analyze the peculiarities of students' preparation for work with information and communication technologies in the USA. Significant increase for material that today is required to process a modern student and the reduction of the time allocated for his assimilation increases the importance of independent forms of learning. Under such conditions, for today's professional training the use of the latest information technologies in the educational process becomes of special significance. The problem of introducing into the Ukrainian educational information technology space has a wide range of aspects: the use of the Internet for professional counseling for youth, the use of information technology in vocational schools, the development of distance courses, the formation of information culture, etc. The article analyzes the problem of the readiness of students of different specialties to use information and communication technologies in the educational process of a higher educational institution. Particular attention paid to modern processes of globalization and informatization of higher education as the priority trends of the development of modern Ukrainian society. Informatization of the educational process is one of the main priorities in the development of higher education, a qualitatively new stage for the whole system of higher education, a promising direction for increasing the efficiency of the process of studying at a higher educational institution.Keywords: informatization, information and communication pedagogical environment, information and communication technologies, higher education, social sphere, educational process in higher educational institution.Relevance and expediency of research. The globalization of world economic and business processes is also an impetus for the globalization of higher education. An educational institution that can create the best conditions and resources for learning by means of information technologies goes to a qualitatively new level of the modern world university.
