This article describes an innovative method for regulating populations of blood-sucking Diptera that parasitize cows. This relates to the field of agriculture, namely to the means of protecting farm animals from insect bites, and can be used to protect farm animals from ectoparasites during the period of their grazing. To produce these products, the polymer was treated with an impregnating solution containing pyrethroid (2-26% by weight of the untreated polymer product), an inhibitor of arthropod detoxification enzyme systems (0.5-20.0%), a lubricant (0.1-3.0%) and an aliphatic ketone (5-90%). The method was simple in execution, and the insecticidal acaricidal polymer products obtained according to the method had a long shelf life of at least seven months. Parasites diversity in close-related species of hosts may be different depending on habitat use and climatic conditions. The aim of this study was to analyze parasites fauna in four felid species inhabiting Russian Far East and South Siberia (including taiga forest and mountain treeless areas). We have collected 272 feces samples of four felid species: Amur tiger, Amur leopard, snow leopard and Pallas' cat. Helminths (eggs and larvae) in excrements were studied by flotation using a saturated solution of ammonium nitrate. We have described 10 helminths species in Amur tiger feces, 6 -in Amur leopard, 2 -in snow leopard and 3 -in Pallas' cat. Obviously, snow leopard and Palls' cat had lower helminths diversity than two other species. These differences can be explained, to some extent, by climatic parameters. The climate in the snow leopard and Pallas' cat habitats is described by sharp and significant temperature fluctuations -the annual temperature difference can exceed 90°C, which may lead to lower survival of the number of infectious agents in Pallas' cat excrements. In addition, the snow cover that can protect helminth eggs and larvae from the cold temperatures especially in Amur tiger and Amur leopard habitats. Possibly, another important factor is the spatial and social organization of Pallas' cats, with a low frequency of contacts with other individuals. Such way, species-specific differences in helminths were related, probably, with the species evolution in different habitats.
Species composition of black flies pre-imago stages was investigated in different types of inland waters (large, middle and small rivers, brooks and reclamation channels of Moscow, Ryazan and Tver regions). There were found 9 species of Simuliidae in large rivers, 12 -in middle rivers, 14 -in small, 10 -in reclamation channels. Larvae and pupae inhabit coastal area on hydrophytes, rocks, water objects, etc. Dominant, subdominant and scanty black flies species were discovered. Maximum of population density was registered in the late May -early June and was up to 700 flies per 1 dm 2 in average.
В настоящее время на территории Нечерноземья РФ активно разводят диких жвачных животных, таких как лани, европейские косули, зубры, благородные и пятнистые олени и др. Представлены сведения о видовом и родовом составе гельминтов и простейших, обнаруженых у лосей, пятнистых и благородных оленей, муфлонов, маралов, европейских косуль, ланей и зубров. Всего от вышеуказанных животных отобрано и изучено на наличие эндопаразитов 638 проб из Калужской, Московской, Тверской и Смоленской областей. Работу проводили в 2015 – 2019 гг. в национальном парке, заповедниках, охотхозяйстве и частном крестьянско-фермерском хозяйстве. В условиях Нечерноземья РФ зарегистрированы следующие гельминты и простейшие: 2 вида трематод — Fasciola hepatica и Dicrocoelium lanceatum; 2 вида цестод — Moniezia expansa и M. benedeni; нематоды из 5 родов — Trichostrongylus sp., Nematodirus sp., Trichocephalus sp., Protostrongylus sp., Capillaria sp., а также простейшие из рода Eimeria. Наиболее разнообразная фауна эндопаразитов установлена у жвачных из Калужской и Московской областей. Доминирующими являлись нематоды из рода Trichostrongylus, которые зарегистрированы во всех областях Нечерноземной зоны РФ и встречались у разных видов животных. Яйца и личинки гельминтов обнаружены в 193 пробах, что соответствует 30,25 %. Общая зараженность жвачных животных эндопаразитозами составила 44,98 %.
The studies were conducted to evaluate a comparative efficacy of broad-spectrum anthelminthics with an immunomodulatory effect used for animal dehelminthization on the basis of an epizootic situation in helminthiasis and protozoasis of wild artiodactyl animals of the northern forest subzone of Belarus. Helminthological and protozoological investigations were based on the methods generally accepted in parasitology. The data obtained show infestation of a wild boar with 14 species of helminths belonging to four classes (Trematoda, Cestoda, Nematoda, Acanthocephala); moose-with 13 helminth species from three classes (Trematoda, Cestoda, Nematoda) and one species of Eimeria from Sporozoa class; European roe deer-with 11 helminth species from three classes (Trematoda, Cestoda, Nematoda) and 1 species of Eimeria from Sporozoa class. In terms of species the helminths belonging to Nematoda class predominate in helminthocenosis. The most widespread helminthosis in wildespread helminthosis in wild boartis Metastrongylosis, in moose is Mecistociriosis, in European roe deer is Trichostrongylidosis. Four preparations for dehelminthization of wild animals under laboratory and field conditions were tested. They were «22% fenbendazole granulate», «20% tetramizole granulate», «Polyparacid», «Pentavet». It was established that Polyparacid and Pentavet having and immunostimulating effect are more effective than «22% fenbendazole granulate» and «20% tetramizole granulate» having an immunosuppressive.
