The obj tive of this paper is to demonstrate the aseismic capacity of concrete − mled tubular members su切 ted to cyclic axial load. About fi fty specimens composed of cold − formed circular tubes and normal concrete were tested to quan 丘fy the number of ioading cycles and Ihe amount ef dissipated energy upto breaking failure afier local buckling . The test shows that both山e failure cycle and the dissipated energy are fa廿ly increased by filling [ he tube wilh concrete . The span of life of concrete ・ filled tubular member is affected by 血e diameter − thickness ratio, effective length and amplitude of axial displacement , and 正 s successfully predicted by an e曲 mation me 【 hod proposed by authors . 皿 】 e dissip 飢ed energy upto failure c 跚 be also predicted by means of multiplying Ihe number of load血 g cycles upto failure a皿 d由e dissipated energy at each loading cyc 正 e , The dissipated energy a皿 d
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
