3-(2-Furyl)-1-(4-nitrophenyl)prop-2-en-1-one

Abstract

In the title compound, C13H9NO4, the dihedral angle between the benzene and furan rings is 6.23 (5)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak inter­molecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Other related compounds include (2E)-3-(2methylphenyl)-1-(4-nitrophenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (Prabhu et al, 2015) and 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1-(4-nitrophenyl)prop-2en-1-one (Patil et al, 2006).…”
