“…Sin embargo, hasta ahora se ha prestado menos atención a las motivaciones de los anfitriones (Stors y Kagermeier, 2017;Ikkala y Lampinen, 2015;Hellwig et al, 2014;Belk et al, 2014;, objetivo central del presente artículo, que trata sobre la oferta no profesional y el carácter desigual de la plataforma (Singh Garha, 2021;Salom Carrasco y Pitarch Garrido, 2021). Por una parte, pone el acento en el aspecto de la compartición como práctica social -en particular, se investiga si la cuestión social sigue siendo un motivo relevante para los anfitriones (Malazizi et al, 2018), entendiendo que si algo queda de EC en la plataforma debe encontrarse en las razones que mueven su intervención y su forma de participación en Airbnb (Stors y Kagermaier, 2017)-y, por otra, contempla las prácticas de alquiler de los ofertantes y en qué medida se encuentran influidas por la autoimagen que promueve la plataforma, orientada hacia la idea de comunidad, beneficio, competencia y en torno a la reputación de «buen anfitrión» (Bialski, 2016;Cockayne, 2016;Roelofsen y Minca, 2018;Farmaki, Stergiou y Kaniadakis, 2019).
