Abstract: The Early-7 (E7) protein of HPV binds to the underphosphorelated form of the tumor suppressor protein – pRb and displaces the E2F transcription factor that is normally bound by pRb. The latent membrane protein-1 (LMP-1) of EBV prevents apoptosis of B cells by up regulating the expression of bcl-2, and it activates growth promoting pathway that are normally triggered by T cell – derivate signal. The aims of this study to know that in cervical cancer stay HPV and EBV.DNA was isolated from nineteen sample cervica… Show more

“…Of interest, EBV was detected also in CC specimens from Indonesian patients, and 68% of analysed cases are co-infected with HPV and EBV [16]. In our study, HPV and EBV co-infection seems to be less frequent in NPC.…”

“…Similarly, HPV has been found to interact with p53, suggesting that this interaction promotes cell growth and thereby enhance viral replication [27]. Targeting p53 may be a common requirement for the replication of many types of DNA viruses [16]. In addition, B cells transfected with EBV latent membrane protein lost the regulatory effects of the retinoblastoma (RB) protein, and the HPV E7 transcript has been shown to immunoprecipitate the RB protein [28].…”

“…The association of HMSN1 with MS has been reported [45,46,47] and it is possible that the trinucleotide expansion increases susceptibility to epithelial tumours or to EBV. Some suggest a link between cervical cancer and EBV infection [48,49] although this is not fully accepted [50]. …”
